Have not been to Disney with family before.

I would like to know which fireworks shows are not to be missed and which are no big deal. Also best place to see them from and when they are set for.:smooth:

All of the shows are wonderful in their own way--hard to tell which you might like more than the next.

Epcot and the Magic Kingdom both have traditional fireworks displays set to music. These shows are currently being presented each and every night.

Others may disagree, but I don't think there is a particularly poor location to watch either of these shows. At MK, anywhere on Main Street will give you a good view. At Epcot, the closer you can get to the edge of the World Showcase lagoon, the better.

MGM Studios has a nightly show called Fantasmic which combines many elements including a live stage presentation, pyrotechnics video elements, etc. Fantasmic is held in a theater which seats 8000-10000 (don't remember the exact figure). Most nights, you need to arrive 90 minutes before the performance to get prime seats, and 45-60 minutes ahead to get ANY seat.

Unless you're only visiting for a couple of days, try to experience each show at least once during your trip. I doubt you will be disappointed.

In my opinion, all three firework shows are MUST SEE!!

We loved Wishes at MK when we saw it in Dec - I could have watched it every night! There are several good spots to watch - one is at the end of Main Street, one is at the area by the Plaza pavilion - Tinkerbelle flies towards you. I would suggest staking out your spot early, making sure no trees block your view toward the castle.

Illuminations at Epcot is a definite must-do every trip - if we can see it more than once, we like to vary the spot we watch it from. We like it from the Italy pavilion, from the bridge by the International gateway, across the lagoon from the WS just to mention a couple.

Fantasmic is a not-to-be missed experience! It is so much more than just "fireworks"!! This is one where everyone is seated in a theatre. If you do the dinner package you get "reserved" first-come first served seating. If you don't do the dinner package, get there early! Probably an hour or so before. Sit toward the middle of the theatre if you can. The bottom rows are not necessarily the best - you may even get wet there.
