Fireworks view and noise (kabooms) from Narcoossee's?

I have been working on our PS's forever and after numerous changes, I felt it was pretty much finished. (I'm planning for 15 people so it's involved)

Well, I was on the attractions boards tonight and come to read that they now have "Wishes" scheduled for our Narcoossee's evening. We have 8 p.m. PS's. If Wishes is at 7:30, there is no way we are going to be able to get there, with the exiting crowds. in 15 minutes, even taking the boat. When I made the PS, it was with the idea that we would see the 6:30 Spectro show and have plenty of time to get there. We have to see Wishes, and the only new PS I could get was 8:50. I didn't take it because I feel that by the time we get seated and get our first bite of food it will be a lot closer to 9:30 than 8:50.

I was thinking we should just go to Narcoossee's by 7:30, watch the fireworks from there, then go inside and eat. My questions are these - I know you can see the fireworks from Narcoossee's, but is it a good view? Also, my DH is afraid that you won't get the same feeling because you won't hear the KABOOMS! Will you?

If we stay and watch the fireworks at MK, how long will they hold the reservation if we are late?

The view is great! My kids even spotted Tink's flight. I can't help you with the kabooms, we were inside finishing dessert when the fireworks went off.

I can tell you that with the current fireworks you can cetainly hear the booms very well from the GF. It sounds as if Wishes will be better than the current FW so I bet you'll be fine. We like seeing the FW from the Polynesian or the Grand Floridian. All the beauty, none of the crowds.

Thanks for the info. It sounds like it will work out fine if we watch from GF, so I'll suggest that idea to the family.
