I know in WDW they have parades and fireworks shows. Last time, on our first trip, we went for 16 days and out of all 16 days we saw one fireworks show and the Spectro Magic show I think it was called. We really wanted to see the shows and take pictures but we got caught up in the rides and attractions. We are going on our second trip to Florida and this time we are going to Universal for a week. Are there any parades or fireworks shows that we might be able to see? I want to see them and do the rides too but I don't want to be stuck watching Spongebob or the Rugrats waving for an hour   lol . Are there any shows worth stopping and watching?

:thumbsup2

Thanx

There are no fireworks or parades except during peak season. You are going next week which is a non-peak time. I know you mentioned the early closing of the parks. Fireworks are nightime shows and it is still light outside when the park closes.

Aw, I don't want to go back to Florida around summer to see the shows the heat kills me lol! Does WDW do this too? If they don't do this wouldn't I be able to go to DTD and see a fireworks show from there? If so where is the best spot to stand? BTW- Is there a way to get on the monorails from DTD and ride them around just for fun? I was wondering if I could do that just to get a peak at the parks or resorts.

Thanx

You definetly can take the monorail around WDW and visit some of the resorts or take a look at MK or Epcot, but the monorails don't run from Downtown Disney. They stop at the Magic Kingdom, Epoct, Ticket and Transportation Center, and the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Contemporary Resorts.

There are no current parades or fireworks scheduled. However, off peak season ends Thanksgiving. You can expect to see the Macy's Parade starting the first week in December, and also there might be a 360 show with fireworks (shows on big balls in the water)
Plus, meet the Grinch, and there are always super hero parades.
