My family and I are sailing on the Magic May 1st. I've been looking at recent navigators and have noticed that some have a Pirate Party between seatings at 7:45 but no mention of fireworks then or later. Are some cruises not getting them now?
Fireworks are not permitted on the Alaska cruises and some of the Northern Europe cruises don't have them because it does not get dark enough. But this is before the transatlantic so I'm not sure where it is going. If it's just the Caribbean there will probably be fireworks. Where was it sailing?
Could be weather contingent as well. How was the weather on that cruise? If it's inclement enough the pirate party gets moved indoors to the atrium and there is no deck party.
Even if they have the deck party, I am not sure they list the fireworks separately in the navigator from the rest of the party (it's part of the pirate deck party).

Great insight, especially if they know in advance to make the change on the navigators before they print them. Like they know it will be rainy all the next day or something.
DH and I went on the Magic for a 3 night Feb 25th and they had the pirate party between both seatings for dinner and the fireworks also. It was dark enough then. It wasnt listed in the navigator as fireworks, just the pirates party

I was on this cruise and same as above poster...it was between the dinners during the Pirate party. I was wondering if it will still be dark enough for this during June-July cruises but it was plenty dark for us!
I have seen that too. Seems DCL comes up with new innovations and the other lines copy it. Fireworks, Magic Portholes, split baths, etc, etc, etc.
I do have to wonder what it costs them to follow those fine liner style DCL vessels around. When on the Magic 2 years ago, we were told Disney was changing the times some and their courses to get away from them. I did not see any on this Fantasy trip.
