Though I've never stayed at the Contemporary Resort, I would imagine that you can't beat the theme park view rooms in the tower for a view of the fireworks. You would overlook the park from your balcony! :goodvibes

There are few choices here:
Contemporary in a MK View Tower Room
Bay Lake Towers in a MK View room
Poly Lagoon View Rooms
GF MK view rooms

Contemporary/ Bay Lake Towers. Watched them every night. We saw them from the room but a lot of people watched from the walkway that connects the two hotels. We also saw the electric parade from the resort.

I think the best view is from a TPV room at the Poly. You are closer at the CR but the odd angle bugs me. The fireworks that appear behind the castle from Main St are seen as coming from the right side of the castle. If this doesn't bother you, then you can't go wrong with either one.

The main fireworks are fired from a distance behind the Magic Kingdom and appear to be the right and away fom the castle in the Contemporary but still good. The only straight on view is from the Polynesian and TPV room there makes a spectacular show, especially for Hallowishes and Chistmas party fireworks which fire in an arc around MK.

Loved our TPV room at the Contemporary!!!!! We could see Space Mountain and the castle changing colors. In fact we left our patio curtain open to go to sleep to it. We had TPV at the Poly last November and I didn't care for it at all. So expensive and you could barely see the castle at all. If we ever decide to do TPV again, it will only be at the Contemporary.

The best view we ever had was from the 14th floor concierge lounge! Fabalous!! They would pipe in the music, too. :)

We had a Lagoon View Club Level Room at the Poly, the views were incredible!

I am by no means a photographer and I just have a point and shoot, but I just loved our view!

If you choose the Contemporary, ask for an odd numbered room. The odd numbered rooms have the bed positioned so that you can watch the fireworks from bed. Even numbered rooms, have the bed on the opposite wall facing away from your MK view.:)

We loved getting all snuggled up in bed with our daughter to watch the fireworks when we stayed at CR in an MK view room.

I agree with mouseketeermama ! I had a TPV in Tuvalu at the Poly and there was nothing like sitting on my balcony with a nice drink and some snacks while watching Wishes across the Seven Seas Lagoon. The music isnt piped into the rooms (that would be AMAZING :cloud9: ) but they are on the beach. I loved waking up and seeing the castle too :goodvibes

The music can be found on a particular channel of the television. I don't recall the channel right now, but just call the front desk and ask.

Who is in bed by 10:00 at WDW?! :confused3 ;)

another vote for CR or Bay Lake. I love watching the fireworks from our room. :) the best are the MNSSHP fireworks. (aside from NYE).

sitting on the balcony with the sounds from the tv... awesome!!

watching the fireworks at the beach at the Poly is great too.

Our favorite place is from our balcony, 3rd floor, Tahiti building, the Poly. With cocktails we brought from the Tambu lounge.

CR/BLT definitely has the closest room view of Wishes. But the Poly view is also nice. :thumbsup2

During the day the view from CR looks like this:

Sorry that is blurry, I don't have the best camera.

We stayed at Contemporary Resort with Magic Kingdom view and it was absolutely a (if not the) highlight of our trip to sit on our balcony in our pajamas and a glass of wine and watch the fireworks. It was perfect!!!!
