Fireworks from the front porch!

Just saw a great firework show from my front porch. Our little community puts on a small, but very good firework show before July 4th (because there are bigger shows on that day elsewhere) Well I can see them from my porch.....so cool! God Bless America this wonderful country. Have a great holiday weekend everyone!

It's nice to be able to walk outside and see fireworks or a parade!

My mom grew up in a very small town. When we would go to visit my grandma, we could just take our chairs to the front lawn and see the 4th of July fireworks show. They have parades twice a year that pass right by her house. While the rest of the town has to trek to the main street with their chairs, coolers, etc., and reserve their spots, we would just walk out to the porch and have perfect reserved seats! My grandma passed away 11 years ago but my mom still owns the house. It sits empty most of the time unless my parents or us kids go to visit my uncle who still lives in the town. We're going down this weekend because fireworks are legal in that county but illegal where we live. We'll all stay at the house and do our fireworks in the huge driveway. We'll miss the community fireworks show but at least we'll get to do our own!

Well it seems we share a profile pic... and a front porch! We will be enjoying the neighborhood fireworks from our front porch tomorrow night. Best seat in the house!

We can see the fireworks from the next town over from our front yard-or even better yet from the comfy seat at my computer desk looking out the window .
