Fireworks from Polynesian

Hi all, I’m curious if anyone has information on this. Our family, not resort guests, booked a dinner at Kona for our future trip thinking that we might be able to time the meal and then watch the MK fireworks from the beach. Is that still possible or if Disney prioritizing resort guests only? If they are prioritizing resort guests, are they doing this across all the resorts around Seven Seas lagoon? I’d like to find out so that we can switch reservations while there is still time. Thanks in advance.

Usually this only happens with major holidays and special fireworks shows. Normal nighttime showings of HEA aren't typically restricted viewing.

Note that castle projections aren’t terribly from the Poly.

As long as it isn't July 3, 4 or December 31, you should be fine. We went to 'Ohana for dinner in mid-January and had zero issue watching the fireworks from Poly.

We did this in mid-June. The beach fills up fast though! If you want a seat to watch the fireworks, get there early. Otherwise, you'll be left with standing room only.

This was the first time we had done this, so I can't say for sure. My guess is probably 8 - 8:30. We got there about 8:50 or so and it was already a rather full beach. Probably closer to 8 if you want more of a seat selection in an area of the beach with the best views.

Nobody is limiting beach access for normal nights, only the holidays. I was staying at the Poly in May but nobody checked my room key.

Another tip: if you want a chair to watch from, you need to get there about an hour early, since there aren't many. But there is plenty of space to sit on the ground or stand.

How early would you suggest arriving?

my party of 4 got the last of the chairs available on the beach, on Sunday April 23 at 7:30pm, to give you a time frame. (based on the timestamp on the photos we took, lol) there was plenty of room to spread out a towel or blanket to sit on the sand, though, until about 8:30pm
