How is the viewing of the fireworks from GF? We are going to a party night next week and trying to decide whether to stay for the parade and fireworks or monorail back to the resort to watch from there to avoid the crowds. Since our day will start that day flying at 6:00 am it's going to be a long day. Just 2 adults.

Not sure what experience you are hoping for. Seach on youtube. You will get a sense of what it is like.
You can see most of the fireworks. They are low in the sky. Usually there is low volume music piped in at the viewing area. If that is what you want then you should be fine.

While not as magical an environment, the best view is from the TTC dock. Grand will have an off center view.

Lots of people watch the fireworks from the seating area/walkway outside of Gasparillas, next to the marina. There is a straight (albeit off-center) shot view of the castle across the water. I believe they pipe in the music, am sure someone else can confirm.

Depends where you want to watch from.

You can also stand on the beach, but I did not take any pics from my August trip. Enjoy it!

We've enjoyed the fireworks from the GF dock - at the time, there were benches to sit on, but I'm not sure if they're still there or not. We've also very much enjoyed the view from the TTC, near the ferry dock, with the music piped in. If we were staying at GF, we'd probably watch from the dock.

Just take a nap and stay. You got this. Don't leave early!

I agree with this. Consider taking an afternoon nap and staying for the parade and fireworks. If you really want to avoid crowds, I would stake out a spot on the curb near the MK entrance for the parade and then move slightly up Main St. for the fireworks. If you are on Main St., toward the end near the entrance, you can then just turn around and head out of the park when the fireworks end.

I can't 100% vouch for the view of the holiday firework shows from the hotels, but the regular show is not nearly as visible as Wishes used to be. The newer shows rely on castle projections, so you lose all of that. The newer shows have less fireworks than the older shows did, still quite a few, but not as much as in the past. The holiday shows tend to have some special fireworks though, so it is still worth seeing if you only feel up to watching from the hotel. These days, I'm not a fan of the parties, but if I did pay, I'd probably feel inclined to try to stay for it, given how much they cost.

Then again, that is why my last party was my last party. When last I went to one, most of my family did not feel up to staying for the whole thing, and it felt like a waste of money. That was when the price was quite a bit less.

Last Saturday night, 11/12/22, we watched the MK (party) fireworks from the GF boat launch dock. Yes, there are still a couple park benches there, as well as a good amount of standing room on the dock. It's an off-center view, as mentioned above, and we were unable to see any of the projections but the fireworks were beautiful.

Sadly, they did NOT pipe in the music to that area this time, as they did in years past. Apparently, they used to use the nearby Narcoossee's (restaurant) sound system to play the music and that building is currently dark, under renovation. So I would not recommend viewing MK fireworks from there at this time. Watch them from Main St. if you can. Note that on party nights, fireworks are a bit earlier than on non-party nights. Enjoy!

Sorry that you did not hear the music that sure adds more magic to it. I wonder if they had issues. We watched them from there on 11/15 and 11/16 and music was piped in both nights.
