Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza View now available in advance

I wonder why the regular dessert party isn't available to book for October, November or December??? There are reservations available for the date I want for the Plaza dessert party, but I really don't want to stand to watch the fireworks.

Probably already sold out...but that's a guess on my part...or it hadn't been released yet(I've given up trying to ever guess when they release these things and why...cause it sure isn't on the schedule you'd expect...lol).
Note that with the regular dessert party you might end up standing anyway to view depending on where your table is and who is blocking your view

Agreed.

AND, it is quite possible (likely, in fact) that you can sit on the Astroturf ("picnic style") in the Hub viewing area to watch the fireworks.
Many guests did that when that area was used for FP+ Wishes viewing.

We were hoping for that too Robo...the only concern I have is that I'm sure I read somewhere(of course cant remember where) that with plaza same day dessert party as opposed to the old fp+Disney was packing people in more closely so sitting was no longer doable ?

We're ok with it either way but if we can sit too it would be a bonus :)

$20 cheaper than regular Wishes Dessert Party.
At $60 plus tax and gratuity, wasn't that the same price as the dessert party after they doubled the price about a year ago (after adding cheese to the eats)?

I wish we had this option for the Hallowishes Dessert Party. I'd like to have that view instead of the terrace view.

I wouldn't be surprised if that space isn't being used otherwise that they will add it at some point. Don't forget that for Disney it is an add'l moneymaker in a big way. They can bring a lot more people to the party(pun intended) with only a slight bump for food .Even if they only sold an extra 50 tickets per night( and im sure it will be much more)this way that's an add'l million in revenue in a year with very little add'l overhead.

When I first called, the supervisor said they had availability for the regular party. That is what they actually booked me in. I got the email and noticed the price difference and called back. That CM was able to move us to the plaza dessert party.

Not sure. I haven't attended one since 2014. Can't remember price, but regular Wishes viewing is now $79 & Garden view is $59.

EDIT: We paid $70.26 per adult in 2015

Yikes! We did it twice at $29 and then they added cheese and doubled it to $60. Now $79? :faint:

Are you/have you booked for this trip? Just make ADR for Oct. 29
Never been to one before, Garden View - where is that at?

For upcoming trip booked HalloWishes Dessert Premium Package for October 31st. A short while ago Disney started offering same day reservations for the Wishes Dessert Party with viewing in the Plaza Gardens. This past week they started advanced reservations starting October 1st for Plaza Garden view, IMO this view is better than TT, but TT is covered somewhat for viewing & has seats. Garden is in the Hub, original FP+ location. I haven't been since last summer, Hub/Castle area was still under construction. But think front, center of castle by Walt & Mickey statue. Hopefully, someone will post photo of area.

Got it! We have never booked HalloWishes DPPkg. but this sounds pretty cool. Read the entire post and then made ADR via the link you posted. However I ended up having to call as the online reservation wouldn't go through for whatever reason, but I'm pleased I was able to book.

You mention 2 items: A short while ago Disney started offering same day reservations for the Wishes Dessert Party with viewing in the Plaza Gardens.
And: This past week they started advanced reservations starting October 1st for Plaza Garden view.

How do I get hooked up to receive these notifications in my email? How did you get notified? Also, when Disney opened their Summer/Early fall packages it was by sheer luck I was able to book WL for room only discount, I didn't receive one email notice regarding these discounts. Ugh...all the hoops & loops just to party with my favorite Mouse!:yo-yo:

When I called I was told gratuity was not necessary. ?

Has anyone else had any luck booking online? Every time I get to the final page and hit "reserve" it tells me there's an error, and I need to call. I think the error is that it keeps saying my pre pay amount is $0 instead of however much the party costs.

Tried online too for Oct. 29th but then got red flagged and called, but was able to secure 3 spots:yay:

I'm sorry but where does it say you have to stand? Bring a cushion and take the load off your feet, that's what we're doing!
