Fireworks Dessert Party Cancellation ?

Booked for July 20th back ages ago (at least it seems like it)
Safe to assume it's not happening -
still up in air as far as our entire trip goes - (supposed to fly out of jfk, and not even sure if travel restriction will be lifted)

Anyway, assuming MDE even allows me to do it - is it safe to cancel online, or should I call (and risk waiting on hold forever ) ?

Why would it not be "safe?"
When you cancel, you'll get a conformation eMail. That'll hold up if there is any difficulty.

Basically meant as an IT issue, because the system keeps freezing up - thanks !

Thanks ! Yea, they are throwing everyone into a "millennium falcon" waiting queue right now - takes 10-20 mins before you can get in

I am holding off on canceling my dessert party, since at the moment we can't add any additional reservations to MDE. I don't want to be in the position where I cancel now but somehow they allow smaller dessert parties when I go (I made everything 180 days out, so hopefully that keeps me in the clear for reservations).

I’m guessing MK will not have fireworks. The calendar says they are closing at 7:00 the week we are going Aug. 5th-12th.

Hasn't Disney changed the park hours closer to the actual date? August 5th-12th still gives you a couple weeks for Disney to work out the kinks and throw in some pixie dust and *maybe* lengthen park hours

1. Yes.
2. Nobody knows.
They have been commonly known to lengthen hours as late as 2 weeks before (and/or to up to the day-of) in many situations.
Again, nobody knows.

Yep, and the fireworks /parades have been removed from the park hours calendar - cancelled online last night, and received confirmation - easier to access MDE now
