For you pros: where are the best viewing spots for Epcot and MK? Are there any locations that would be less crowded, but still afford good views and sound? Where do you go when you've got a toddler who can't wait to watch them, without being overrun by taller, fellow spectators?

I'm guessing some of you have tips and/or hints.:-) I would be grateful to hear any good recommendations.

Magic Kingdom near the carousel (They pipe the music In the carousel) And You are In the middle of fireworks! You have to turn on yourself to see everywhere. And, bonus, You can see the princesses with no wait! Some young children can Be afraid.

In Epcot, Go on the gallery of the Tokyo Dining restaurant.

Far from a pro here, but.....

Magic KIngdom--Tomorrowland bridge from the hub.
Epcot--Anywhere around the lagoon where you have a clear view of the center of the lagoon (there are a few islands out there). Biggest point is to be upwind of the lagoon so as to not get the smoke (there is a lot) generated during the show.

At Epcot as you walk into the WS from Future World just go straight ahead (Showcase Plaza) and it is great there however it fills up fast. We watched from Norway last trip and it was great as well and not nearly as crowded.

A week or so ago someone had posted a view of the fireworks with a glow stick on a map. Does anyone recall where exactly that point on the map was located?

We watched Illuminations from Mexico, right across from where the Margarita stand was. It was a great view and a quick exit once they were over, but I did get there at 7:00 to hold the spot. The key is get a spot early and camp out. Avoid the boat ramps, the canopy's block your view.

Camped out @ 7 for a 9PM show? ugh

I second the poster who suggested the Tomorrowland bridge from the hub...just be sure you're close enough to the hub side that the trees don't block your view of the lower fireworks.

These are great suggestions, but since you have a toddler I bet you won't be wanting to wait hours to find a spot. We like going over by liberty square. It's not crowded and you still get a great view. Enjoy!

"best" means different things.

The best view without regards to crowds, fighting to hold your spot, and camping out at 7pm is in the hub on the Casey's side (so not right in front of the castle).

But if want a no crowd, no wait, no stress experience anywhere in Fantasyland will do.

But fantasyland is only the fireworks. if you want to see the video on the castle and see the fireworks exploding above the castle you'll have to get on Main Street or the hub at least 1 hour early. And be ready to fight to hold your spot. People will walk up at 8:45 and try to push you out of your spot and you'll have to stand up to them.

You want to be able to see the spectacular, not-to-be-missed show that is actually projected on the front of the Castle, "Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.)

=====

There are so many places to view IllumiNations at Epcot's World Showcase

that are wonderful in their own way that its futile to try to list them... so I will. ;)

• Bridge between UK and France

• Norway area

• Upper level (outside front terrace) of the Matsu No Ma Lounge in Japan

• Italy, near the Gondolas

• Mexico, at the new Cantina

• Mexico, bridge to the right of the Cantina (as you face the lagoon.)

• UK, the Rose & Crown outdoor dining area (ressies required.)

• UK, just to the left of the Rose & Crown (as you face the lagoon.)

• Many, many more great spots.

Be sure to avoid any tree branches that block your overhead view,

and watch out for any "islands" in the water

that block your view of the "center" of the lagoon.

Most Important Tip:

Don't stand down-wind of the fireworks.

Their SMOKE will ruin the show.

So, If the wind is blowing into your face as you look towards the Lagoon, you are in the wrong spot.
;)

People do this, but it can lead to a stressful situation. I have done this in the past, but it is just not worth it. When someone claims a stake on a square of Disney property, I swear it unleashes a boatload of rude behaviour from some people who are determined to squeeze their way into your personal space. We make every effort to avoid confrontations, so we try to find an area where we have an acceptable view, and we are not crushed into the crowds.

Also, are we able to get a clear view of the magic kingdom on the beach at the Poly, or is it over. Is the bungalow in the way?
If anyone has a picture of the Wishes from the poly with the bungalow, i would like to see them.

Thank you

After countless years of having watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks from in front of the castlen we finally watched from the backside of the castle on our last trip near the new Fantasyland wall and it was really really nice. Walked up 15 min before and had a SEAT!

I understand, in the past you had a map showing the TTC and Poly in the bottom and the MK on the top on the same map. I think you also had the Contemporary in it too. That's the one i would like to get again. I want to show it to a newbie to WDW.

As my map in post #15 above shows (area labeled as "Beach,") yes.
