I saw this today. It's disgusting.

My university only just has been "considering" adding gender identity and presentation as a discrimination protection along with race, sex, gender, etc. So far the democrat regents have been sympathetic but are afraid they'll tick off voters if they vote for it. The republican regents have been less sympathetic.

This is such blatant bigotry!!

I firmly beleive that gender and diveristy education needs to be taught in high school. Maybe being educated about these differences would prevent this stupidity!!

I read that article and it made me angry. They say that the city manager's gender change would be a "distraction" for city employees. If supposedly professional and mature adults cannot remain focused on their work without becoming "distracted" by a colleague's personal life, Largo has a problem far bigger than a transgender city manager.

In this day and age, it shoud not be an issue. A lot of public employees who have not done this turn out to be no bargain. They should give him (her) a chance.
