AK last August was so hot that we couldn't even consider waiting in the
L-O-N-G line for "Finding Nemo - The Musical". I don't know if lines will be any shorter this year. I'd like to know whether it's a "must see" for you and whether you feel the wait is worth it.

Well we loved it. So for us a must see. My dh missed it last year as the youngest threw a hairy fit waiting in line so he galantly took him elsewhere so the rest of the 1000 people would be able to enjoy the show*us included.
So this year if there is a hairy fit(hope not everyone is a year older and wiser) but I will be the one to miss it.

lalalalalalalalalala.............if you see the show you'll get it.

I haven't actually seen the show in person, but I have seen the youtube and own the soundtrack. I enjoy it, but everbody has their own opinions!

Figure that you still should arrive 45 minutes before show-time, if it is important to see a particular performance.

Definitely a must-see for me! I saw it for the first time last year and fell in love with it. It's very elaborate in costume, music, set design, like a real Broadway show. If you love Broadway shows in general, you'll definitely love this little version. :goodvibes The actors are very talented. The wait can be very long, but I think seeing it once it's definitely worth it when you see how much went into it.

We also love Broadway shows (subscription members to Broadway Across America road shows, so we see 4-6 a year.) We love most of the Disney World shows. We just saw Nemo last week, and while we enjoyed it, I don't think I'd wait in line outside in August for more than about 20 min to see it (we lucked out last week with no wait in line...happened to be wandering by there shortly after doors opened for the first show of the day, so we were seated immediately & only waited about 20 minutes before show started. So our brief amount of waiting was sitting, and inside the air conditioning.)

Like I said, it was good, but I would not put it in the same quality category as Festival of the Lion King as far as music, costumes or even staging. Cute, yes. But more "mildly entertaining" than "don't miss it outstanding" stage show. Short wait, o.k. Long wait, not worth it.

We saw it last April and loved it. Then we went again in August and we missed it and I was sorry we did. We're leaving in a week and its a MUST do on this trip. Plus it has AC which will be nice in the June heat!

It's definitely a must see for me. That said, I haven't had to wait very long--just lucky timing I guess. I think I was one of the last ones in the theater this last trip, but I could still see just fine. It's a wonderful show.

Have yet to see this, we wanted to go last visit (May '07) but the line was crazy long. DD didnt want to wait in it. We may go this July but doubt the lines will be any shorter.

We really didn't 'get' this show at all. My DD - who absolutely LOVES Nemo - fell asleep and my DH turned to me afterwards and said -"Well that's 45 mins of my life I'll never get back!" :(

So not really a hit in our house! :confused3 I'd just like to add that we loved the Festival of the Lion King so it's not the whole 'Broadway Musical' style thing that we didn't like it was just this particular show!

It is an odd style of show. If you've seen "The Lion King" or "Avenue Q" on Broadway, it is similar to that with puppets working in tandem with the puppetier to create the character.

I'ld say Nemos worth at least one viewing. It's weird because it is something of a slight departure from the actual film, what with the fact now everyone sings. But its a lot of fun.

My biggest critique for Nemo is the fact all the performance numbers somehow feel rushed. Tarzan Rocks which was Nemos predecessor in that area, was able to fit in pretty much the entire Tarzan soundtrack without shortening any of the songs. Nemo starts a song, then by the time you start getting into it, they end the song and move onto another scene.

See it if theres time and you can get into the theatre.

They didn't attempt to present any of the Tarzan story, or even
present but a very few of the film's characters,
so they didn't need to build in any time for that.

I definately say its a must see--as much as Lion King though different style show. When it was new and we saw in Feb 2007, line was very long and we ended up in 'standing room only' in back--not fun to stand with kids for 45 min. but glad we didn't miss it. This Feb 2008, lines much less crazy but maybe summer busy season would be worse.

Considering I never forgave Disney for pulling the short lived Journey to the Jungle Book show for that garbage Tarzan Rocks. We were just happy to see that go.

At Least Nemo is back in the right direction. I know many think it is long and boring but we Love it, Love the Songs , Love the puppetry.. and right now is out favorite thing to do in AK ... our favorite park.

To minimize the wait go to the first showing of the day you should be able to get in 15-20 minutes before hand without a long wait outside.

We thought it was well done. I don't know that it's a must for every visit, but certainly worth a one-time look, and I'm sure we'd see it again if time permitted.:earsboy:

Back on May 19 central Fl had some much needed rain for about 20 min while I was in AK. I hoofed it over to the line for Finding Nemo's first show. There was actually no one in line so I thought 'oh no somehting happened to close it that day'. Actually it was only the rain that put some folks off.

I donned a poncho and just started the line. When a CM showed up I double checked to make sure I was in the right place. Within 40 minutes the line was up to capacity. It was cool being the first one in the theater.

.......and I may say well worth the wait. Loved how the actors came into the audience at some points in the show. Not to ne missed show!

This thread proves the point that one man's meat is another's poison - and thats what makes WDW so wonderful - something for every taste.

We saw the Nemo show July 07 and it immediately became a favourite, we jusy love the concept, the music and the colourful action. It is now a "must do" every visit. Lion King for me is ok but not a must, on the other hand. Tarzan left me completely cold incidentally. My favourite show remains Fantasmic at the Studios and I personally can't understand those who just don't get that show, but vive la difference as I said.

No - I suggest you see it and make upyour own mind. I wasn't in a position to have an opinion on Stitch until I saw it for myself. I'm pleased I did though as I know now not to waste any more time there (just my opinion though :rotfl2: ).
