The more I read about the Finding Nemo show, the more I think DD would love it. What I worry about is the long, crowded line to get in. I know in earlier posts it was report that there is no alternative waiting area/entrance for guests with GAC's. Is this still true? Please respond with a PM. Thank you!!!

I don't know how to send a pm w/o one being sent to me first, but I can tell you that last June there was no way possible to see the show for us-no possiblity of waiting in a shaded area, anything. And I asked a supervisor as well, and nothing. If ou find out any different now, please PM me and let me know, my kids would have liked it, I'm sure-and we're going back in Sept.
Nicole

Thanks Nicole. The only reason why I suggested a PM is because the info might not be allowed to be posted. But it sounds like there still isn't an alternative for our kids. If not we will just skip it and be happy with the Lion King show. They are very accommodating there! Or they were in 2006.

We were there in August of last year. I really wanted the family to see this show. We had 2 teens in wheelchairs. The only thing I saw them let people DO, is have some family members wait in the regular line. As those members move up, to where a cast member is at a rope, they let other family members under the rope to join them. Other people were doing this, groups split up for bathroom runs, drink runs, etc. This location where people were doing this was next to the building, where the line goes and you can no longer see it. I did not understand this, and we approached the cast member for help, and he let our whole group slip under the rope, (not what he was supposed to do, he felt sorry for us, I was very polite and grateful too). Then he led us to a handicapped door line, and they made us sit in the very back row, in the wheelchair row, we did not take seats from others in line (everyone on line got in, no one would want the back row).

They REALLY need to do something about the line for this show, it needs to be shaded, for all guests. Just a themed tarp of some sort would really help.

Hi there,

We were just there end of Feb/beg of March. The crowds were fairly low and wait times for attractions and shows were reasonable. We walked up to the Nemo show just to check the time of the next show and they were seating already. We literally walked in, after parking the stroller, and showed the attendant our GAC card, totally not knowing what to expect for seating and crowds. There were empty seats in the roped off handicap section. The attendant directed us to a small section that could fit about three people (we are a family of 5). The show was starting in a couple minutes and my husband asked if we could move across the aisle into the completely empty long row. He replied "it's fine where you are" - we each had to have a 8 year old child on our lap to fit! It was kinda funny in hindsight, very un-disney. Anyways, as soon as the show started, the attendant released the rope for the empty rows and we scooted over as others standing at the back scrambled to the newly opened seats as well. I don't know if we just lucked out - perhaps that section fills up quickly at times.
We did learn to show our GAC card and sit in the handicap seats after the stunt show when we had to let the entire audience leave before we could navigate those bleachers safely with our two boys with cerebral palsy.

I agree about the queue line and seating issues. The one time I went to this show my service dog almost roasted before we got inside plus we had a really, really long wait once we got inside. Some kids were having total meltdowns over the wait time, sitting in a darker building with people swarming all around. I got nervous about being in the back row and someone knocking a hose out of my vent. Anyway, I ended up being glad I got there early as they don't have unlimited seating for someone in a w/c and LOTS of people ended up standing in the back. Can you imagine people standing with a whining child ( understandably whiny and fidgety) for such a long show? This was in September when the parks weren't considered crowded. I haven't been back.---Kathy

I hope Disney can do something about this show. Because it is SO wonderful, it is not a show to skip. Special needs kids could really enjoy this so much, it is that special. (assuming they are not afraid of dark, and noise of course). My son has Downs, autism, and he was able to follow this show, which was huge for us.

And really, no one should be standing in sun like that, it is not healthy for anyone. Because you are in one spot, it is differnt when you are walking around the parks, in and out of shops, restuarants, and attractions.

We didn't have a GAC and I stood in line while my husband kept walking around with the kids (son 10 has Asp). They were allowed under the rope to join me when it was time to go in. They also allowed as to have a seat at the end of a row (even though we were being herded to the middle of another row). This was the second week of August and the parks were quite crowded.

For this attraction you really can't use a GAC to get an earlier entry into the building and you won't need to show one to ask if one person can wait in line while others walk around as most people are understanding as are the CM's by the roped off entrance area. There still is a problem close to the building with no area to walk around so you could easily lose your party once people are allowed to enter the building. I agree with Pat- no one should be waiting in intense Florida sun whether they are disabled or not- it just isn't healthy or comfortable.---Kathy
