Finding FP+ very annoying...

I think people were told the wonders of good old FP. The same amount that are being told about FP+ anyway.

I wonder though, if more people are in line now (as so many comment that lines are longer) were those people simply wandering the parks before, waiting for their FP time? How was that a plus for them? Seems contradictory to say more FP+ are being used, yet the standby lines are longer too. What were those people doing before?

Actually having more people use FP increases the SB lines, it is a natural outcome of the system.

And if only the same number of people are using FP+ as used legacy FP, then Disney has failed LARGE on their PR campaign and MDE system

I think it's important to be clear -- more people using FP+ has the potential to increase the SB lines elsewhere. That is, people who are not standing in the lines at Soarin' (because they have FP+) are then free to make an appearance in the SB line for Figment. Even if not everyone released from a line spends their time in other lines, enough will that it has the potential to increase those "other" lines. However, we didn't observe any significant effect compared to other trips with similar crowds when we were there last week.

That's a fair point, you are right if they only FP'd the 3 rides they would have ridden anyway, and didn't go stand in line for other things, there would be no increase in SB lines. But if they FP their 3 and then go pop in a SB after or in between, and they wouldn't have used FP before, then they are increasing the SB waits.

Well, to be fair, they didn't mail you a box with MagicBands in it before MB/MDE/FP+...

If they had mailed you a box of FP-'s before you visited, I'd imagine a lot more people would have used them.
