My 13 yo son & I will be departing on our 1st
DCL over springbreak when we - sail to Mexican Riviera aboard the Wonder April 2nd over Spring break -
while doing a little research on the weather and such, I came across a really AWESOME website regarding Port of Calls for Cruise ships --
I'm sure all the seasoned Cruise vets already know all about this site, or have all this info - but I'm betting there are newbies like me that could really benefit from -- check it out -- it's really cool --
cruiseportinsider .com
It covers Alaskan ports, Mexican Rivieran Ports, Pacific Coastal Ports, Bahamas Ports, Carribean Ports, & Panama Canal Ports -
You select the city you are interested in and it gives you all kinds of information - what the weather and average temp for when you are traveling,
a little history on the city, info on the people, where there are Banks & ATMs (including maps), what holidays & celebrations are going on (a monthly breakdown with dates & short description) even shopping & resturant recommendations WITH maps! Info on excursion with a logo of the cruise lines offering it (though the DCL logo doesn't show up, don't let that discourage you from getting the info

) videos of excursions, what you can do on your own- lots of maps, where you can go for internet access in town with the cost

- did I mention they have maps? lol
It's pretty good info too -- I live in San Diego & just for fun - I looked up what they had to say about San Diego -- they did a pretty good job!
There is so much more info, if tried to list it all here, I'd probably get fussed - lol - Anyway -- Check it out -- It's REALLY cool!!!
