Good Morning Sarah

Sorry your son got the malware. I knew about it last week and downloaded the patch for it. That is when I found out you need to also need to ask for microsoft updates as well as window updates.

Have him patch IE7 anyway since it is still on your systems.

Thanks! He signed us all up for updates and installed the patch.

Good "2 sleeps til Christmas" Morning

Was 40 you have outdone yourself
Our weatherman just told Mr. Judi, if you need to do it, get it done this morning. :rotfl2: TV and Mr. Judi are friends
:rotfl2:

This is called heat, something we didn't have for a few hours yesterday. Now mind you, I told Mr. Judi 3, yes 3 weeks ago the furnace didn't sound right :rolleyes1

I believe he said this is just what we need right now :rotfl2: I just pick up the phone and call our furnace guy, his machine tells me, I'll be back in town Jan. 5th, just leave a message. Yep Pat, I'm going without heat til next year, NOT.

Our phone book is about the size of a golden reader. ;) So I get the big city phone book out, call and get voice mail. Leave message, are you seeing a pattern here. Better yet, do I look stupid to you. Call the next number. :woohoo: a real live person answers the phone. Quite upfront too. $69 house call, plus parts and labor. I told her what part we needed. The furnace told me.;)

It has a light that blinks, for each problem. 3 hours later, in walks Jeff, nice kid by the way. with part in hand and 30 mins. and $254 later we are warm again. Mr. Judi is no spring chicken I might add so he can now swap out that part. :) At 7:30 last night, 2nd guy calls, glad to hear we have it fixed, can't get to us til Wednesday :rotfl2:

This is life in a small town, everyone works out of their home and calls back when they feel like working. Moral of the story, if it don't sound right, don't bother asking Mr. Judi, just get it fixed ASAP.

Have a nice day :lmao:

So glad to hear that your heat is up and running, again! This is definitely not no-heat weather!
Don't think that those issues only happen in small towns. Living here in the BIG CITY, ain't much better. Whether you're calling someone at home or at a large office, you can still get voice mail and no calls back for days, grumpy people answering calls and "we don't have those parts and won't for a few weeks", etc. Though, I know, we have more choices of people to call so we have a bit more of a chance of getting some kind of help.

I was at Target, too! popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::
I was looking for regular hershey kisses
but they only had odd flavors like cherry and with almonds...

so I didn't get any

but then they had them at the grocery store for 1.99 so I was glad that they didn't have them in the first place!

My favorite is with almonds. DH loves the cherry ones, the kids like the plain ones.

Judi, how is your Mom doing?

I'm leaving in 10 minutes to take DD to work and to do some shopping. I know that the supermarket will be very busy tomorrow so I'd like to avoid the crowds.
I'll see you later. Have a good, safe day!

Ah, Mr. Judi is Mr. Fixit like Mr. Was40

here, it is the Mars/Venus thing
I mention the furnace sounds funny
and that doesn't translate to "check it out" to Mr. Was

later, when no heat
he will say
"you never said it was breaking"

its all in the interpretation
Lucky for me DD12 is great at interpreting
the other three.......not so much
you have to spell it out for them, repeatedly
then it sounds like nagging:confused3

Add nice furnace guy Jeff to your list of favorites.

Same here, Judi
call, they get back to you ....... eventually ......
no hurry
no worry

No snow to speak of
but some icy spots

no delays or cancellations at all for schools
it's party day for them, who wants to miss that!

Mr. Was and i are going to take the van to the shop
visit the post office (texan bro is now not home for christmas)
and do last minute shopping

any ideas for the over 90 crowd?
still nothing for my grandparents
soon will resort to gift cards or paying their electric bill

I hope to wrap the stuff I bought yesterday without back pain....
not too much
I did get a cute winter coat for DD9 at Kohls
hers from last year makes her look like a homeless waif
she is hard on clothing
it won't come clean, ground in grime

and I happened to notice it is only a 6X
and she is not

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 guess she got a couple years out of it anyway
still warm, good for play....
except the wrists will get cold fast!:lmao:

A few years ago, I gave this suggestion to my sister for her husband's grandmother and she was thrilled with her gift. How about a subscription to Reader's Digest or something similar available in large print?

Was40 sure must be enjoying her day off with DH.
Snow might check-in in a little while
Rich we never know when he pops in
Hara I hope you are healing, at least you checked in
Pad how are your boys doing? When did you get your second tag?
C1m, and kimmar where are you?
