hi guys, so anyone find anything good? (I know it was only 50% off.... but still :D )

I went after work to the target on my way home in reston, they are way too organised! I bought the 2nd to last cute 8 foot inflatable santa and a bunch of really cute scrapbooking stuff that I never saw before christmas.... hope some is still around next week at 75% off. maggie

nope NADDY nothing! Looked but nothing grabbed my fancy! I did think about those lighted wreaths but decided against it. But if they happen to have them later I want 2! When does the stuff get marked down again? Silly me forgot!

I was there at 8 yesterday morning and it was a mad house....I haven't done the day after Christmas thing in awhile I had forgotten how loopy people get about gift wrap! I bought several rolls of wrap, some bows, ribbon, a wreath that was cute for $10 (wanted to wait til it was marked down more, but I was afraid they would be all gone), and that was about it. Only $30 damage done...

i absolutely refuse to go to Target the day after...so I went today. I got dd some of the cutest red slipper socks, dh some loung pants for cheap, bought tons of ornaments, ribbons for wreath making next year. (I;m organizing a craft bazaar at work next fall so I will use this stuff then). Some candles. Some sorely needed towel sets (bath, hand, finger for $3.99--not bad).

I am lucky because dd is in Austin with my sons for xmas and I was able to shop the AFTER sales! Lucky me!

in theory the target markdown schedule is:

dec 26- 50%
jan 2- 75%
jan 9 - 90%

(there has been some mention that maybe 75 is jan 1 and 90 is jan 5th) Since we have about 5 targets within 20 minutes, I'll be there pretty much everyday. :D maggie

You know I'm picky aout my wrapping paper and I had it all set in my mind what theme I wanted before the sale. I went at 7:30 and they were all gone! So I went with another theme and will shop around some more Targets for my orginal idea. However first my son was sick now my DD has a 102 fever and I feel a little guilty shopping while they are sick (Dad just can't comfort like mom can) I picked up plain holiday cards for my DH cleints next year and my usual almond M&M's and dove chocolate that I hide and keep for myself when the craving hits. My best bargin was all those plastic trays and bowls I bought a ton of them and used them for my Christmas party last night. They are just plain white and red so I can use them all year and so cheap that I won't feel bad when I bring stuff to a party and forget it. (like I always do) I really needed an ice bucket and they all had dents in them so I'm keeping and eye out for that at 75% Can you beleive they had no light left except for purple . I was a little bummed about that but you know they continue to bring out stuff they find in the back room.

Can't wait till 75%!

I went today (Sun) and athey still had tons of stuff left so I refrained from buying Christmas items. I did however buy a huge storage shed for our garage and sent my DH cleaning today. Wow! There really is room in our garage to park the car now!

Can you believe I went to Target today and was not able to check out the sales. My DD was so sick I did not have the heart or energy to bring her upstairs to the sales. We were up all night at the ER with croup and back at the docters by 11:00. Ugh! Please let me know if they do change the sales till Jan. 1.

I had to get out of my germ infested house last night so I went to Target. Great bargins on boys toys. I got the Major Pawers command center/and a figure for $4.89 it is usually about $25.00. Then I got the jeep set for $3.89 which is usually about $15.00. Of course I picked 4 each becausewe have many birthday parties coming up.

Anyone hear if the sale is on the 1st or the 2nd?

as far as I know it's the 2nd. I hope it's the second because if it isn't I'm going to be upset! ( I'm working up at shady grove on the first) maggie

ps: you didn't happen to know if the polly pocket's were more than 30% off did you?

just read on another board that tomorrow is the 75% off day! I'm going to cry. :o Now I'll definently be working tomorrow! Save me something at the gaithersburg store! maggie

tomorrow!?!?? I may have to try and stop in tomorrow! Friday would have been tough!

Maggie you work up here? What do you do that you have to deal with that nightmare drive!

The 1st is perfect. My DD is still too sick to head to the Bay so I will catch this sale bight and early tomorrw and then catch the one in St Mary's on Friday. I'll leave a few things for you Maggie!

Most of the toys were still only 30% off. I'm not sure why the Major Powers were so cheap. I checked Khol's but they don't really have there good sales going yet either.

P.S. Maggie when you are up here always check the Hallmark next door to the Target. All the way in the back they have great sales!! Sometimes $1 sales. My sister got Stain glass clocks for a buck and $24 dollar nesting boxes for a $1.

I'll be there when they open the doors.

Thanks, Maggie.

Laura

Where did you see that Target may be at 75% off on the 1st? This would put a huge change into my plans!

Well I headed out early today and the Sterling store said 50% off so I left without any XMas items. Bought a couple of toys. Somehow managed to spend $152. (Granted $80 of it was for another storage cabinet for DH). Got home and Maggie called me, it was marked 50% but it rang up 75%! Well, had to go out again. Went to the Chantilly store, spent another $100 on toys, not much left in the way of XMas items, then went back to the Sterling store and now they were marked 75% off. Well by 1:30 things were picked over pretty well. I got out of the store with just a $6 bill for some paper plates. Whew! I'm tired now.

I did well at the Gaithersburg store. I got there at 9:45 and no one was there it was perfect. I head right for the secret sale endcaps and found these beautiful red vases and red hurricane candle holders with hearts all over it. They were Christmas but looked more like Valentines day. So of course I bought 4 of each at 3.74. The vases I will add Vday candy and tie Vday ribbon around it. I also got those white and gold candles and the big Christmas tree candle with gold glitter on it. I then went to the middle where they throw everthing together and picked up a few snowmen candles that did not have tags so they gave them to me for 74 cents. I got a lot of those Bonnie Bell lip gloss kits for .99 to tie on gifts they too did not look like Christmas they were in a jean purse. I got a few of those Fisher Price Christmas trains for $5.(3 of my friends just had Christmas babies) And I got a down Christmas throws for 4.99. I had my eye on that. then a few odds and ends to make gift baskets with. I'm thinking of going back and getting the plastic wine glasses for .45. I want to take the one stroke painting class at Michael's and make some for Christmas gifts next year.

Pammy Jo my best friend was at Sterling and you did much better then she did. I think she got there too late. Plus she is really looking for a bigger discount on the toys. Anybody know when they will be marked down more.??? Most of it looked like it was only 30%.

My sister went to the Springfield VA. store and it was already picked over.

Hope everyone else did well! Now the big question is where to store all this in a Townhouse!!

Oh and they had those great easel for $5. I passed on those but did get the gaint cardboard house that you can color for $2.50. Perfect to throw outside on a spring day and let the kids go to town coloring it and then palying front.

toys may be marked down to 75% on jan 21st. May not be a lot left at that point though. maggie

I was so bummed tonight when we went to Target to find out that all the Christmas was already at 75% off and almost completly gone!!! I was thinking it would be 75% off tomorrow and wanted all these cool tin's to organize scrap stuff in...oh well, I guess I didn't need them afterall, LOL!
