Financing resale contracts?

Why not buy a small resale contract to start out with and then buy more when you are able to. You’ll pay a little more in closing costs, but at least you won’t be tied up in years of payments.

I'm a prisoner to my low rates right now. We need a bigger car since our daughter came along (different kind of addonitis), but we're about 2 years into our 0% loan for our current car. We also want to move into the suburbs, but with our current mortgage at 2.375%, no real financial incentive to do so! Don't think we'll be seeing anything like that for awhile (if ever!).
“Different kind of addonitis”, I LOVE this lol!

Years ago 1996 I wanted to purchase DVC, I believe it was Boardwalk that was being sold. My daughter was 6 and we had relatives in Florida so I thought it made sense. I would have had to finance. We ended up not purchasing because while I was tempted to purchase immediately I never do anything on emotion or without generally overthinking.

We ended up a one income family by choice so not making that purchase ended up the right decision for us.

If we did purchase I would not have been able to pay for my daughter’s college education which was a bigger priority for us.

Every family has to make the decisions that work for them

Exaclty and you made decisions that worked for you

I think it’s good for people to hear what others have chosen because sometimes, one may not have considered something that another person did!
