Just thinking about the soda issue - and I got to wonderin'!

Any other money surprises I should be prepared for on the cruise?

Thanks.

Buying pictures on board could get quite expensive, if you are not careful.

If you are talking about the extra costs, I wouldn't call them "surprises", but some of the balances add up FAST...you see your stateroom balance and do this:scared1:

So remember all DCL excursions will be charged to your account, the spa adds up fast, especially after the tip, any alcoholic beverages, cards for the arcade, and the little gifts you'll pickup at Treasure Ketch, etc....

I remember thinking, how in the world did we spend so much for 4 nights! Then reading the detailed bill, it makes sense....

Shutters is not a bargin & it seems the larger pictures are the ones you just have to have. Spa treatments can destroy a budget in a hurry as well as hair appointments...

Taxis when on the Islands can add up quickly.

Watch the bar tab!! When you only have to sign a slip of paper as payment, after a few of the Bahama Mamas, you can easily loose track of how much you are spending!!

Check your ship account regularly to know where you are with your spending. Shopping in the ship stores can add up quickly too!!

Have fun!! But keep track of your spending!! Don't want your trip ruined when than final bill arrives!!:earseek:

phone calls.... don't make phone calls...... :scared1: :faint:

Don't forget tips, which will run more than $300 for a family of four on a seven day cruise if you follow Disney's guidelines.

I think the nursery can ad up fast too if you have little ones - they charge $5 or $6 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours.

My 12 year old traveling companion got so excited when she saw a Navigator that listed Bingo as an activity. Does anyone know how much it costs to play? I am new to both cruising and bingo, so this will be a real adventure!

=> Some people forget or don't realize that you tip four positions at the end of your cruise: room steward, Head Server, Restaurant Server, and Restaurant Assistant Server.

=> Internet Cafe is 75cents per minute or you can buy a length-of-stay internet usage pass.

=> tipping room service

=> Palo costs extra for dinner, brunch and high tea

=> taxi usage at ports (except CC, obviously)

Bingo was $35.00 for a "family pack". You have six games per page, but they can not be separated. There are 5 rounds I think. There are smaller cards available for less money.

try this too.... http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=584754

Did I understand this right - BINGO is $35.00 a session and you play 6 cards for 5 games?

OR

you could spend $20.00 a session and play 3 cards for 5 games?

Do I have this correct? I am just seeing how much money I have to budget for bingo.

Also, how many times do they offer BINGO on the Western cruise? As we will probbly be there as often as they have it.

Thanks,
Lisa

I found it quite helpful to get a print out of our stateroom charges at various times during the cruise (When they were not busy and I happened to be walking by). This will allow you to correct any mischarges as well as allow you to keep track of what everthing is running. You will also receive a copy under your door the night before embarkation. Do not wait until the morning of your embarkation to go to Customer relations as the line is often quite long at this time. - Mike
