FINALLY! The "Surprise" Disney Trip That Made Magic -- Nov 17-23, 2012

I loved your trip report! What great surprises each day!! This will def. use some of your surprises in the future

Great report. Lots of fun!

Glad you made it so magical. We are planning a little of that for next week. Last time we went we had Halloween decorations so we added dining and preferred seating to be new things this year!

Wonderful! It makes it a little more special just to add some new things to the trip doesn't it?

I see you are from Vancouver... we lived there about 17 years ago where our oldest was born. I was a Pastor at Turning Point Christian Center :)

That was a couple of years after I moved out here. I am a member at Columbia Presbyterian Church.

Love Vancouver. Grew up in Michigan.

Great TR! Can't wait to hear about Aulani -- so curious about it myself!

Our family is planning our first trip to Disneyland Resort this summer. We are staying at the DVC villas...I can't wait!
Thank you for such a thorough trip report, it has helped to make some of DL seem more "real" for me.
I love the Fantasmic dessert party idea, and we just returned from the DVC Member Cruise where we received "Glow with the Show" ears, can't wait to see them interact with that show!

Here's a question:
I'm looking at doing the So. Cal. City Pass, which will give us 2 days at Sea World (if we go to Sea World first), 3 days at DL, and a day at Universal...is that what you did? Is that the most economical way to do it? I'm not sure we will make it to Universal, my youngest is only 9 and small, so she won't make it on some of the rides. We will be in CA for 6 days, Monday at 10:30am until Sunday at 4pm.

Any advice is welcome!
Thank you again! :)

I am a SeaWorld Travel Specialist now, and I had to go take a look on my site to make sure, but that is the same pass that we had for sure. :)

As far as value and better way, if you are going to go to all 3 parks, then it is a great value, but if you really don't think you will do Universal, then you would be better off just buying a 3-day PH for $220 and a 7-day (same price as 1-day) for SW at $78. Then you could go even more days to SW if you wanted, although I don't think it is a 3-day park :)

Universal does have some cute things for kids, but you are probably right thinking it might not be enough for a 9 yr old girl

What is the dates you will be there? I will look up for you the park schedules and can give you some hints then... :thumbsup2
