FINALLY....SSR here we come!!

Great day....DH finally agreed to 160 points at SSR!! Call has been placed, now just waiting to hear back from DVC rep. SSR is looking really good right now....it is -40 celcius here and -52 celcius with the windchill. To put it in perspective, we are due east from Alaska. One day we will be snowbirds...until then we just bundle up and think of our Southern neighbours (and SSR in November!!)

Quick question for all of you learned ones...... what are the 'meal vouchers' all about?? We are two adults with no children. Is it worth our while and where do you sign up for them if interested?
We do enjoy dining out at various restaurants on site.

Welcome home. You are the first person I've seen on here from the Northwest Territories so you really deserve a trip home to get out of that cold. Want you to know though that we are right with you in the northeast USA. We just got back from Vermont and the temp was -22 F one night.

You should probably ask on the restaurant boards about the vouchers. That is the place for the best answer to that questin. I agree with you though, it is nice to eat at the various restaurants around WDW. But the nice thing about DVC is that you can also have a nice cup of coffee with breakfast in your room every morning and save a lot of money and relax at the same time.

Sounds like the Canadians were burning up the phone lines to DVC this afternoon -- we must have placed our calls about the same time and bought at SSR at about 6:30pm EST! DW, DD and I are in southern Ontario with more snow in the driveway to clear out.
I can't wait to go home next January.

(Should I tell you that it was mid 70's here this weekend? We had our windows open and shorts on...)

Okay, we did pay our dues in Ohio and NJ - but that was another life...

BUT... it's supposed to get down in the 30's (above zero!) tonight.. It's amazing how much difference 200 miles makes (JAX to ORL!)

DH and I paid our money and made our first SSR resvs (Dec 04)
today, also! Barely let them get our info into the computer before we were adding to the phonecalls!

Shorts and flipflops in December - now THAT's what it's all about!

You may not need any meal vouchers since you will have the luxury of the kitchens in the villas. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_5_14.gif' border=0></a> We usually have a light breakfast, have a nice meal at a sit down restaurant for a late lunch, then have a light dinner at the villa before heading back to the parks during the break time. Head over to the Restaurant Board to find more info on the vouchers. I don't know much about them!
