And I hate to say it, but I wasn't feeling the love. Yes, the resort is beautiful and the location isn't bad (we rented a car), but...
Noise... We had loud people each night. The first night it was the folks next door in their room, second night (different family?) the kids were jiggling the doorknobs, trying to get in the connecting door, also people were outside/noisy around 12/12:30.
Smokers... seemed to be everywhere. Guests one room away were out on our check-out day, puffing away on the walkway/balcony.
Pepper Market...hated it, pure and simple. Got quick-acting food poisoning from second day's late lunch and to add insult to injury we had to wait over 30 minutes for that food. Spoke to the managers, and they excused it by saying they were changing over to supper. I understand that, but still...people were having to wait around at all the stations for their food, even the pre-cut pizza slices. Each station only had *one* chef and that poor person was doing everything - prep-work, taking the orders, cooking, etc. There weren't enough people behind the counters. But there were plenty of people standing around, including the three managers who seemed clueless.

It was disappointing. We had never stayed at CSR before and wanted to try it out for our weekend trip. The grounds are gorgeous and the check-in went flawlessly, quick and simple. We liked the general room location and our room in 7B, the housekeeping was some of the best *anywhere* we have experienced on-property. Room was scrupulously clean.

We probably won't be back. We like fine dining but we also actually like food courts and Pepper Market to us wasn't the best of both worlds.

Sorry you didn't like the Coronado. We were there in September (we stay every year--it is our favorite resort) and found no problems with smokers (and I am ex-smoker so I can smell it quite well), no problems at the Pepper Market, etc.. I truly am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, but am glad you tried it.

we tried it in sept as well and we won't be back to that one. It simply didn't appeal to us. The PM was eh. The rooms just were like staying in a hotel. Not sure but overall this resort ranked on the bottom of our list

here is our rankings so far
OKW is best
POR pretty close 2nd
BWV and BCV is probably tied
VWL..sorry hate the decor in the rooms, tho we loved roaring forks..same food but they do a great job cooking it
CSR

I hear you on the PM. I really liked it but found myself getting frustrated at times with the very slow service at the different stations.

Same with us. We have stayed from Values to Deluxe and found CSR the worse resort of the bunch..

From the food court to the convention folks, it was a horrible resort. We warn family and friends and they were lucky enough to not blow their vacation staying there.

Give us POR or any of the others over that place..

Course, just watch.. Your post will be hijacked soon enough with a handful of folks you swear are paid by CSR :)

Hey agnes, sorry it wasn't for you. But there is a resort for everyone at WDW.

LOL! hey now :p I did love CSR but the PM needs work. And while I loved it, it's a HUGE resort with much walking. That is a bit of a downside when you're dog tired at the end of the day. While I look forward to going back I totally respect those who don't like it and understand they have a right to their point of view too :)

We liked CSR, didn't love it, but would stay there again. It was pretty, but I actually think the pictures, especially the night pictures are nicer than in person. In some of the negative reviews, people said that they didn't feel like it was very Disney-like b/c of the business people around and I really thought that was silly at the time, but it really did bother me. There were alot more adults than kids and it just didn't feel like a happy vacation place. The buses were FANTASTIC however and the staff, especially the check-in people that really hooked us up were wonderful. My kids would give two big thumbs up to the pool also!

I agree completely about the Pepper Market... it was absolutely awful! Thought I would love it, but it was soooo terrible. We are not a picky family, but the food quality... I just can't stress how bad it was. The breakfasts were OK and nice portions, never had lunch here, but the dinners were atrocious. We were on the DDP, so it wasn't too bad for us, b/c if I had to pay OOP, I would be mad. I think it was even a bad value on the DDP b/c it wasn't worth the credits.

Like I said, may stay here again, but definitely NOT eating at Pepper Market.

I stayed at CSR end of November for a convention/trip with friends. Overall, I really liked it. We got a fantastic rate on our rooms -- and a glitch in room assignments got us an even better rate. Thought it was very pretty. Loved the pool. Bus service was A++++.

Pepper Market -- eh. Food was OK, thought it was pricey for the quality. The weird combo of table service/food court I did not like. Our waiter was next to useless.

For a convention resort, it was great. For a family trip, I dunno. :confused3

The PM is getting reworked next year as part of the ongoing work to upgrade the resort. We'll have to wait to see what happens.

There is a resort for every taste at Disney which is a lucky thing. We love CSR and have stayed at many of the resorts. Truthfully, I wouldn't stay at the POR if you paid for my trip. And no I am not paid by the CSR. :)

Where do I sign up to be paid by my favorite Disney resort? ;)

Is there a weblink or something? Pop Century -- I'm looking at you!
