Dh has been deployed with the Oregon Nat'l Guard since August 16th 2004. He has been home twice- 2 weeks last Christmas, and 2 weeks in April, after Molly was born. He FINALLY got his date that he will be leaving Iraq- January 7th! Home to Ft. Lewis, WA (not quite 2 hours north of us) on Jan. 9th! I CANNOT WAIT. Since he told me on Saturday, I have been so antsy....eating myself silly, pacing, time is DRAGGING. I am calling all my friends/family that I have up here and making social events over the next 3++ weeks so the time goes by faster!
He will be in Ft. Lewis for 5 days 'demobilizing' and then will get to come home! We get to go and greet him when they get off the bus from the airport and stay for a couple hours, but then have to come home. I will just be SO relieved to have him back in the states! I'm already prepping our boys that we will only get to see daddy for a little while, and then we have to go home, but that he will be able to call daily and that he will be home really soon after that! We're so excited!

So glad the deployment is coming to an end and he will be back with you all in less than a month!
I also cleaned nonstop to keep busy and to stop the useless pacing
