Finally got internet...WE'RE HERE!!! : )

You sound like my DH, we are doing the Honey Baked Ham thing. LOL!

Well, I can't say it will be real cheap, but theirs a Goodings Grocery store just off property at Cross Roads that you could probably pick up a few things from like a ham. :) That grocery store is more expensive than any here in Tampa, but I am sure it's because it's in a tourist area and alot of the folks staying at the hotels around there use it. Oh and their some places to eat around there to if you need to go off property.

at the crossroads intersection, instead of crossing over straight to goodings, make a left and the winn dixie is just down the road. it will be much better pricing and i think they do have a deli. goodings has become so run down in the past few years and the prices have still gone up!

We have already visited the Winn Dixie and I really miss shopping there. All of our stores are closed now. They have good prices and a great bakery.

Thinking about Cracker Barrel.....:confused3

If you are into buffets,,(as I am ),, I'm gonna guess that with as many buffets as there are in Orlando,,there are bound to be a couple open,,,,maybe Chinese,,Golden Corral, etc. :confused3

Anyways , ya'll have the BESTEST of times at Disney ! :thumbsup2

If you go Chinese as Frank suggested (and why not?).... do NOT go to the Chinese buffet in the plaza where the 7-11 is (across from the Ale House). It's over-priced and horrid! I think the name is the Dragon Buffet. I'd call it the Gaggin Barf-it!!

Thanks, but I have had enough noodle bowls for one trip!;)

I am not sure what we are going to do, but I appreciate all of the advice!:goodvibes

BTW, hubby met Homebrew2 today!

The parks are HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! We went to MK today and rode the TTA.....:lmao: , ate some noodles and pastries and went to Epcot.

Our second ride for the day was the in front of the monorail to Epcot, so the kids weren't too disappointed.:)

The wait for Test Track was 80 minutes:scared1: and the wait for Soarin was 110 minutes:scared1: :scared1: !!

After our Disney Visa picture, The Land, The Seas and Figment, we left them with it and went back to the Fort! I don't even think we will try any parks tomorrow. :headache:

Have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving everyone!:flower3:

Went to Cracker Barrel for Thanksgiving today(thanks Stacktester!) and it was really good! We were surprised at the number of people that don't have a traditional Thanksgiving as this is our first away from home and our families.

BTW- Four of us ate for less than one person at Chef Mickey and brought dessert home...it was NICE not spending that $150 plus on a meal!;)

We went to a cracker barrel for the very first time about 3 weeks ago because everyone here highly recommended it....and I was NOT AT ALL dissappointed!! Its definately my new favorite place for breakfast, we went again yesterday and didnt get there till about noon...had a late breakfast, and again, terrific. It will be a "must-do" everytime we travel from now on. Glad you guys enjoyed it for Tgiving.

The nice thing about Cracker Barrel is that the food is consistently good, it's fairly priced, they have enough variety to accommodate everyone, and it's a pleasant atmosphere. The store is a lot of fun to browse through, too!

I'm glad you liked it Rog, and Flame! :thumbsup2

Becky likes CB because she can shop there. We make it a point to eat there when we travel because it's always good.

Well you have convinced me never to come over Thanksgiving - I don't mind lines, but that's ridiculous!

ADD: Which CB did you go to Flame? Was it the one on 192 across from the big orange? Right behind it there's a lake and some condos - that's where we stayed a few weeks ago! Also, if you like good, cheap food try Millers Ale House. On 535. Good p[lace to eat. It's a sports bar.

I am not sure, it was near a Carabba's(sp) and a Red Lobster. Going back to Disney we passed by Angel's AYCE on the right.

I know we went out of the way because when we went by Wal-Mart on the way back we passed one that would have been closer.

I would not recommend anyone in their right mind to come to WDW on Thanksgiving. Come Monday, it will be dead! All of the CM said the week after Thanksgiving is DEAD! We came when we could but will never try this again. Last week was great so we don't have any regrets. There are very few things we didn't get to do so we are happy! I am glad we came and I am glad to see the lights and some decorations at the Fort. We will try HS tonight but will probably leave when my husband goes into melt down.
