Finally Got an AP rate at Poly

I was so happy on Tuesday morning when I logged onto the computer to find that AP rates had come out. Then came sheer disappointment when I called and there were no discounts left on Poly garden view rooms for our dates (May 27- June 4).

The very nice CM told me to keep trying because some times people cancel and dates open up. I called and called. Probably more than a dozen times.

Well today around noon time, the discount was available for our dates. It saved me another $400.

I am ECSTATIC and can't wait to get there!!!

Good for you! Sometimes persistence does pay off. I am torn between the Polynesian and Beach Club for our August vacation. We have tentative reservations at the Beach Club but something about the Polynesian really makes me want to stay there. I guess I will just wait and see where the best AP rates are when the time comes.

Pleae tell me how to check for AP rates on-line. I have always called, but don't call as often as I would like to and on-line would be much faster. Thanks.

Guess I misread. Reading again it appears jbuchen learned on-line that AP rates were out but had to call to see what was available. O.K., I'm with ya now.

I also was discouraged to find that there were no garden views available to change to. But after reading your post, I called back to double-check, and lo-and-behold, there were rooms available!

I would have never called back were it not for your post.

Now I have to keep calling to try and get an AKL standard view (May 7-9) with AP rates - none of those left (for now...)

Good news, just don't read too many of the posts about those being relocated from POFQ.

Someone got the following rates:

WL (Woods View) @ 93.69/night
2 nights AKL (Savannah View) @ 104.85/night
5 nights Polynesian (garden view) @ 115.69/night

I had to just go sob,

I am thrilled that those being relocated got the deals of the Century, but it is a bitter pill to swallow at times,
