Awesome that you were able to score the new deal with your new dates!

And your ADRs look good so far. I'm sure you'll be able to score T-Rex later down the road. There's BOUND to be cancellations until then. I'll cross my fingers for you.

Hey Yuki, thanks. I'm super excited.

Ok so here is the funny story from the last time I ate at 50's Prime Cafe:

My family got seated at our table fairly quickly. Our waiter came by and started the cute banter about the how he hasn't seen us since the family reunion. Then he whisked us all away to the bathroom to wash our hands before we eat. As we're washing our hands my mom pushes the leveler on the soap and white powder comes out. I see the soap and say,

"Whoa this soap is weird."

"Yea, I bet there a reason for this." my mom says

Then we were walking back to our table we here my dad say "Pink Liquid" (which is what the soap in every other bathroom in Disney looked like) and my mom and I about died laughing. The server yells at my dad and brother about not using the soap and makes go wash there hands again. Then later during the meal the server put a plastic bib with Ariel on him.

This is one of the many reasons I love this place. I also remember the s'mores we got for dessert, they we so good I've dreamed about them.

Hahaha, that sounds like so much fun! I need to eat there one day, just for the experience. I've heard about them asking about the soap.

LOL, cute story. I am sure Mia is going to have a blast there.

The fiancee and I went to check out the Gingerbread house @ the GF last night and we walked by 1900 Park Fare. Oh man was it packed with people waiting around to be seated! Is it always that bad? We don't usually do Character meals since its just us two.

Here is a tentative schedule for our trip. I starting going little commando with my UG book the other day trying the figure out touring plans. Your plans look good Kristin. I think its probably best to leave the last day open for anything you weren't able to do. You never know what may happen during the trip. :)

You better make sure the family has a camera ready for when you try your first Dole Whip. You'll want to remember that moment when your addiction started. :rotfl:

Crissy, I plan to, need to share that momen with my buds here, the other Dole Whip addicts. :rotfl:

I hope you guys don't mind my blabbing away but I decided to make a post about the things I done and what I remember about them, the things I haven't done and the things I don't want to do around The World.

As you know I've haven't been to Disney in 12 years. So, Disney for me will seem like a whole new place. There are so many new things to see and do. I also love to tell stories. I apologize in advance for I'm a bit long winded.

So enjoy this new Segment: The Parks

Magic Kingdom
My mom always bought the Disney Birnbaum books and read them to plan for our trips. I realize now remember back to my trips as a kid, we always toured MK the same way our first time through. We went Main Street through the castle to Fantasy, Liberty Square, Frontierland, Adventureland, then back to Main street to Torrowland and Mickey's Toon Town.

Rides & Attractions

Old Favorites:
Dumbo - Did this once when I was very young. My earliest memory of Disney is ride Dumbo with my Dad.
IASW
Winne the Pooh
Peter Pan - I remember my Gram being scared at how high we were over the city and my mom saying "Mom we're only 4 foot off the ground. That's a miniature London!" :rotfl2:
Haunted Mansion
Country Bears Jamboree
BTMRR
Splash Mountain
Pirates
Jungle Cruise (I FREAK OUT :scared1: on this when I was 5 because the tour guide shot a rifle or something and cried the whole time. This always the big joke amongst my family. I didn't ride it again until I was 14.)
Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear
Goofy's Barnstormer
Mickey & Minnie's houses

Things that are gone:
The Lion King Show: This was a family favorite, one Rafiki was going back stage and ran into the wall and almost fell off the stage.
Alien Encounter: The scariest things I've ever experience in my entire life to date. No joke. It was my Dad's idea to ride this and my mom says "I've heard it's really scary" my Dad's reply "How bad can it be, this is Magic Kingdom" My mom was so mad at him afterwards she was calling him a few choice names that made my brother say "Mom I don't think you can say that in Disney World" This is now Stitches Great Escape

New things I haven't done:
Mickey's Philharmagic
Monster's Inc Laugh Floor
Carousel of Progress (Never been on this ride)
The Magic Carpets
The New Pirates (haven't seen it since the Refurb)

Things I could do without:
The Tea Cups. Mia REALLY wants to ride this but I had a REALLY bad experience on basically the same ride at my local Six Flags when I was 12 (I was lying down in a fetal position inside the Tea Cup praying not to puke. It was bad). Mia INSISTS she's dragging me on this torture device, may have to do this right before our afternoon break so in case I do puke, I can go lie down after.
The Tiki Room - I've already wasted 10 minutes of my life on this ride and do want to waste any more. Sorry to those who enjoy it but I do not.
Dumbo - A classic, but the line can be ridiculous. If maybe if it's a walk on.

Of COURSE we don't mind you "blabbing away". This is YOUR TR and you can do whatever you want (well...within reason....and board guidelines and such) so "blab" all you want! We're here for you to share your plans with.

I think I did something like this on my PTR, but it was for QS places I planned to eat at. This is giving me the idea to review the rides I went on for the first time on my latest trip! Or maybe I should just get on with the updates already.

Oh dear...them Teacups. I still haven't gone on it, but I was on one this summer at a local park and LOVED IT! Sure, I was kind of sick at the end....but it was so awesome! We also split up girls and guys to compete for which group could spin the fastest. The girl group won. Thanks to me really =D

Haha, it's cute you freaked out on the Jungle Cruise. One of the skippers we got just had her hand as a "gun" on this trip. She wasn't fun at all.

I think you need to put Toontown in the list of, things that are gone. I can't remember when they said they would tear it down for the expansion.

About your previous itinerary plans, it looks good! I like how you have planned mid day breaks. And I'm sure you've read my opinion on the touring plans at the back. The ones to follow are the ones before lunch anyways. After lunch, it's pretty much go at your own flow.

I had also planned for my last day to be a "whatever day", but after reviewing park times and EMHs and switching my itinerary around quite a bit, I ended up going to DHS on the day before my flight. Are you flying back on Day 6?

Totally agree with Yuki, just blab away, its your thread. :)

Put Winnie the Pooh at the top of your list. Have you seen the new queue videos on Youtube? I told DF we need to go ASAP to 'play' while we wait. LOL. You're going to love Philharmagic. We always do it because there is barely ever a line and its such a cute movie. Plus one time the CM told us that there was a hidden mickey in the movie and we are so determined to find it!! There are 2 hidden mickey's in the theatre, I won't tell you where so you can try to find them.

Maybe Mia will take it easy on the Tea Cups? I don't usually care for them but DF likes to go on there and spin us really fast. I usually stare at his face and so far it's helped a lot. I'm not so dizzy when I get off so maybe that'll help you?

Why does Peter Pan have such a long line? I could never understand that. Try to fastpass that one because I just don't get why there is always such a long wait time.

I LOVE the Carousel of Progress. Its such a relaxing ride. :) And the song gets stuck in your head. I loved riding it as a kid and still do today.

I've only been on Peter Pan once and really wanted to go on it again on my previous trip, but the wait was just SO LOOONG! Every time!!!! Even at 2am for eve EMH the stand by time was 45mins. Unbelievable.

I love CoP too! It's great to go when it gets hot, and I never get tired of watching it. I watch it on youtube sometimes (technically, nobody is supposed to record it....).

LOL, it really boogles my mind that Peter Pan has such a long wait. :confused3 Its not like he's the most popular Disney cartoon. It's a cute ride but come on even Buzz has a shorter line. LOL. The only time I was able to get onto Peter Pan this year was for the MNSSHP because the wait time was 15 mins. Thats the shortest I've ever seen it. DF and I stood on line for Toy Story Mania a few weeks ago for 80 mins (I was feeling really patient that night, we had nothing else to do and we've never been on it). That ride was so much fun and possibly worth the wait. :rotfl: I can understand the long line for TSM but not Peter Pan. :)

It's a continuous loading ride too, unlike the slow loading rides like Dumbo or Magic Carpets. It should go as smoothly as the Haunted Mansion, if not faster because there's no stretching room. It is truly mind boggling

Great PTR! You are such a good Aunt :)

As for the rides you haven't tried, Mickey Philharmagic is one of my favorites

and Monster's Inc Laugh floor is great too. I thought it would be on the corny

side but with all of the audience interaction it's actually pretty funny.

Hi Crissy. Things are good over hear. I've been busy with Christmas Shopping and what not. I've been neglecting my PTR lately. :sad2: Also things at work have picked up and I haven't had as much down time to waste on the DIS :rolleyes1

I scanned some of my families pictured from our previous Disney trip. I've realized that I haven't been to Disney yet this side of the Millennium. This is the Disney I remember.

Here is a the Original Chef Mickeys. Here it was at the Disney Market Place (Before it was DTD) and the only character that came to the tables was Mickey in the Chef outfit.

From Left to Right: My little brother, my mom, my Aunt Jennifer (before she had kids), me and my grandma.

This was my brother Ryan's first trip to Disney at age 5 and this was probably his first Ride on a Disney Bus. My Aunt Jen is sitting next to him.

Here my brother and I are with Cinderella at WS, I think the France Pavillion. Remember now this is the happiest place on Earth
DisneyB.jpg

This pic sort of reminded me of Jordan's Karate Picture
DisneyD.jpg

Here we are with Tigger in some crazy Mardi Gras get up I think. Can you tell it's the 90's? Notice my blue vinyl little mermaid fanny pack. Wasn't I just such a fashion plate. :rotfl2:
DisneyF.jpg

This is one of the Country Bears in some crazy outfit. As an adult this character kind of freaks me out. He/She looks drunk or stoned. :lmao:
DisneyE.jpg

Here we are with Dale at MGM. Just edit this because I originally said it was Chip but he obviously doesn't have the chocolate chip nose. I know I'm a dork.
DisneyK.jpg

This picture was taken right after the best character experience I ever had as a kid. Pluto had just come out of the door behind him, (where you see Minnie going into) and my brother and I were the first kids to notice him. We ran straight for him and he opened his arm and gave us a big bear hug as we tackled him. It was like one of those Disney commercials you see on TV.
DisneyI.jpg

Here is MGM (Before it was called DHS) without the Hat.

Here is the dreaded Cake Castle. Disney did this for the 25th anniversary of Disney world

Here is my family at EPCOT with the old Living Seas sign in the background

At Sci-fi Drive-In. My brother looks like he's about to have a food coma.
Scifi.jpg

There used to be these living statues around WS. This was a person that looked like a statue and would put there hand on an unsuspecting person's shoulder who stood by them and would scare the bajeezus out of them.

My gram with Minnie

On the way home from one of our many Disney trips (in all the time we went we only flew once) we saw the Osco Meyer Weinermobile on the road.

I love the retro pics!!!! Fanny packs are cool.... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Unfortunately, my parents never took my brother, sister, or I to Disney when we were kids. I guess that is why my DW & I are making up for lost time now! LOL

OH MY GOODNESS, DHS WITH NO HAT!!! Woooooah, I had to save that photo. What a view......

Wow........so much has changed since then, it's like a whole new Disney World for you!!

You saw the weinermobile!!! That's way too awesome.
