Finally getting to see the lights! Nov '11 Anniversary/Holiday/F&W PTR-New 11/4 p50

Hi Amy!:goodvibes

I hadn't realized I had fallen so far behind.:o

I love your Touring Plan cards!!! You've inspired me to make some for our trip next year!!:thumbsup2

The first day of school pics turned out so cute!!:)

Wow! You have been busy. Glad you might be able to get a new van...such good news!:thumbsup2

Wow on the lemon law and van! Way to be on top of it, what a total pain though to go through. I know I've said this before but I absolutely love your cards for the boys. VERY cute mousekeeping envelopes!!!

The car issue seems like a big headache. I hope you get a new one that suits your family perfectly. :thumbsup2

Goodness! You are busy, busy, busy! I am glad you are finally going to be able to ditch the van and get a new one!

I'm so nervous about the arbitration hearing... I can't imagine that we could lose, but I'm still nervous!

And you are! Wow!!! So glad it worked out nicely for you!

Those are ADORABLE! Love them!

Your cards are such a great idea. I hope you are able to skip getting a stroller this trip! :goodvibes

I take it you've been wanting a new car? That's great news! I hope it goes through easily and quickly. I cannot imagine all the paperwork that is required for that...yikes!

Yes - A wet moldy car isn't fun! Luckily the paperwork was pretty much all done from when we filed the claim in the spring, but I had to make & mail a zillion copies!

Thanks Cynthia! I'll be glad when the van headache is over!

Hi MeMom! I love driving a minivan so I'm sure I'll get another one - just not a Kia! The lady I've been working with at the state said they rarely see complains about Kias, but I've been burned once so unfortunately they won't get any more of our business.

Yay! We survived the weekend! It was a really busy one but we made it & had lots of fun in the process. Jumping into another busy week but thought of a fun idea to keep everyone busy until I can find time for another update.

When you think of each country in the World Showcase, what comes to mind?

Here are my answers:

Mexico: churros & Donald's boat ride
Norway: grassy roof & Maelstrom
China: acrobats & Tomb Warriors
Germany: toy trains & caramel!
Italy: Via Napoli pizza & Sergio the juggler
American Adventure: chicken nuggets :rolleyes1 & US Presidents
Japan: kimonos & Kaki Gori
Morocco: the exotic feeling inside the stores

So do you recommend I have a margarita while at Epcot in November? :confused3 :rotfl:

Yes- you definitely seem to have a theme in your answers Pete! :rolleyes1 We've never seen Myuki... is she still there? :confused3

Mexico: Nachos from the Cantina

Definitely give Morocco another look - it's so cool in there! And great idea about the pretzel bread! :thumbsup2

There seems to be a theme with the US bathrooms... I guess I'll stay away from those! Need to try me one of those slushies... I can't believe I didn't at least try a sip in January! :sad2:

This is fun!

Mexico: San Angel Inn & La Cava Del Tequila (Even though I've never visited La Cava-I really want to!)
Norway: Kringla Bakery og Cafe (Never visited here but heard a lot about School Bread.)

I still don't have a clue where La Cava is! Even if I don't get a drink there, I think we have to hunt it down in November!

A fellow teacher got a Kia a few years back, and she got rid of it within a year.

There's news on the Kia front... more on that later!

I forgot about the funny pickle trees!

Mexico: Margaritas at the Ditch!

I guess the Ditch is the place to be! :thumbsup2

Those fuzzy puppets are great! Zach has a small one that's not as fuzzy... but we still haven't gotten it untangled!

How could I forget the phone booths!!!! :scared1:

**********************************************************

Looks like we're going to win our artibtation with Kia... without having to actually got to arbitration! :cool1: Well I guess it may be premature to celebrate but each party (us & Kia) had until yesterday to get copies of our "discovery" to each other & to the state. I spent last week making a ton of copies & mailing all of our "discovery" to arrive on time. Yesterday came & went & we didn't receive anything from Kia. I also played phone tag with a rep from Kia who had called me in the morning when I wasn't home. We never connected but I got a call from the "Lemon Law lady" at the state today, saying that Kia was trying to reach us to offer a settlement. At this point we can only assume they want to offer us a full settlement because otherwise they would have submitted their "discovery". Without having done that, they have nothing they can present at the arbitration hearing next week. At least that's what we are assuming... And I can't believe the lady hasn't called me back today!!! I'm dying to talk to her & see what they have to say!!! I'll keep you posted!

So do you recommend I have a margarita while at Epcot in November? :confused3 :rotfl:

I absolutely, 100%, without a doubt recommend that you have at least ONE margarita at the Ditch in November. Unless you have a strange aversion or allergy to tequila (which I doubt), you will love them. They really are as fabulous as people say and you can be sure I will be at the Ditch on my first park day in December!!!!!

I generally avoid liquor... I actually probably haven't had any liquor since college. I stick with wine... I'm a light weight - I usually drink white wine spritzers. :rolleyes1 But I don't think it could hurt to try one. ;)

Well, if that's the case you might want to split it with you DH. Definitely not a drink for a lightweight. It's what a would consider a "real" drink. :rotfl:

Sounds good! :thumbsup2 Nobody's ever accused Tim of being a lightweight. ;)

It's official - Kia has offered to repurchase our minivan and after all is said and done (and our loan balance is paid off), we'll have $10,000 to put into a new van. :cool1::cool1::cool1: We finally got all the documents today so it's just a matter of time. And now I can go car shopping!!

And in other news... My baby is turning 8 today!!

Happy Birthday Zach!!

From his birthday party last weekend (nerf dart party at his karate school):

He's quite the super star! In the first game, his team won 3-0 and Zach got all three goals. In the second game, they won 5-1 and Zach got four goals!

Happy 8th Birthday Zach! Are you doing something special to celebrate today Amy? :) Sorry I've been MIA.
