About a month or 2 ago, I asked about living in Rochester, MI.
Well............. DW and I (along with the sellers) just signed a purchase agreement on a house in Shelby Twp, MI.
The house we found had only been on the market for less than a week. DW and I had been using 1 "agent" to show us houses, but I got fed up with having "my" agent discuss prices with the "listing" agent on other houses.
Finally, DW saw a house for sale that she liked (at least on the outside). She gave me the MLS #. I looked up the MLS and contacted the listing agent.
Because this agent will be acting as a "dual" agent (neither seller nor buyer), he decided to slash the "sellers agent" commission, so that our mortgage will be less!
The house is smaller than we thought we were looking for, having DS's 3 & 5 (only 1400 sq. ft ranch w/full basement). However, 2 awesome things about this place that make it perfect for the DS's........1) the lot is 100'X154' (plenty big for 2 children) and 2) there is actually a 2 car garage behind the first (!) 2 car garage (it sits back about 20 ft.), which means lots of storage.
I know I'm rambling on, but after viewing about 25 houses, I'm glad the search for my residential "home" (as opposed to my WDW "HOME") is FINALLY OVER!
