Finally did it!!!

Thank you all so much for your advice on buying our first DVC contract. We decided to go with Disney direct since the offered and we wanted a small contract (50pts) and we wanted it at the BWV and didn't want the hassle of waiting to find the right contract ROFR etc.

We are so excited to be DVC owners right now and it would not have been possible without the advice we found on this board!!

I was surprised by this as well Moobar. When did Disney change the minimum amount from 160 points and what is the minimum you can buy as a first time purchase?

Not sure exactly but I believe they will let new buyers in at 50...I think it's been about at least a year or so that they have been allowing it...

Thanks for the info. Do you think it is a sales volume issue that caused Disney to lower the initial buy in amount? Maybe not meeting their quota?
