FINALLY COMPLETE! 10/3/2010- But Why is the Rum Gone? Disneyween 2007

In the tradition of Tiggerbelle's new report- Jack (Morty) in a shoe!

:rotfl2: One of us needs to contact Hasbro - we've invented the latest Jack-in-the-Box!!!! Shoe-box, that is!

I need to wear them around the house a little today to decide if they'll work. I'm tempted to go up a size, but I'm afraid that if I do, they'll be WAY too big. I may just need to get used to these fitting much closer than my roomy Athens do!

Also? They smell awesome. New Shoe Smell beats new car smell, hands down!

Crystal, they look great!
I actually had the same problem with my cleos.....I got them and they seemed just about a centimeter too small. The next size up on me was WAY big though. But after I wore them for a few days, they spread a little bit and now they're perfect.

:thumbsup2

I'm really hoping that's what happens with mine! I've been wearing them around the house, hoping they start to mold to my feet. Of course, I'm not sure how much of that is allowed before Shoebuy will no longer take em back!

Can we all take a moment and marvel at how my countdown now says ONE month plus, not two? Isn't it bee-you-tee-full?

Bee-u-t-iful countdown Crystal.....ours look about the same.

I just love that little Cap'n Jack...he is so stinking cute!!!!

Cute shoes too!!!!

All right everyone, I have zero updates, so after some time on the Adv Club thread on the parks board, I decided...lets have our very own Pre-Trip Hoopla!

Frab a frosty beverage of your choice, and let's sing, dance, and count down the days until the trip!

It would be awfully handy if we could embed videos in posts, but since we can't, follow along here.

I had better hear everyone singing along! ;)

Oh Disneyween!
You're coming soon!
And I couldn't be more thrilled,
Let's hope that it's a great trip,
And I don't cry when I'm billed!

Kungaloosh!

Well, here I am talking about shoes again!

After much debate, and a day or so of walking around the house in them, I've decided to send the Cleo shoes back. They still fit just a smidge too tight- they probably wouldn't be a problem if I was just wearing them at home, but we all know how a smidge too tight turns into OUCH really fast when you're walking 15 miles a day in them! Plus, as pretty as the pale blue/grey combination is, they just don't match many of my clothes.

So, instead, I'm opting for:

The color is listed as "black/pearl", which means they are totally pirate shoes, and thus a necessity for the trip, right? pirate:

(Tillys.com has em for sale for $28, too! Woot!)

And because hey, when you're already ordering one pair of shoes...the more the merrier...and it's only an extra dollar of shipping, I gave in and got:

Although, d'oh! Now that I think about it, I could have gotten those for the same price from crocs.com with free shipping. Why does this stuff never enter my mind at the time?

Oh well- shoes are ordered, other shoes are being sent back (free!), all is well with the world!

57 days!

Can never have too much shoe shopping. Wanted to say hi and save you from page 2. Yikes you were one report away from the second page.. Yikes

That is the exact pair if Ithacas I have! I love mine. Hope they work better for you. :thumbsup2

Me, too!

Aww, we get to be shoe buddies now! We should have a secret handshake.

They're the Ithacas- they've been strangely hard to find, too! Shoebuy has no love for them, it seems, and Amazon only has a navy/khaki combo. Yay for Tillys and their Shoes of Many Colors! AND they already shipped the shoes I ordered this morning! (Hey, did you hear that, Tilly's? I just pimped you to 100,000 of my closest friends! You should pay me in shoes.)

My hero! :woohoo:

Not much of an update, but I DID finally call and make an ADR for our tea yesterday! They didn't have the day I wanted available, so I got the next day. Still works!

And HEE! I just noticed my new tag! Awesome. Although I'll kind of miss the raccoon one!

Guess what!

Since today is the 1st of September, I now officially get to say that I am going to WDW ...

Next Month!

(I'm sure that there are other things that I need to be doing...)

I should rename this trip report "Confessions of a Disney Shopaholic!" :rotfl2:

Very cool bag! If I hadn't just shelled out the cash for my bubblegum pink messenger bag (which came today- hooray! It's huge! I could stuff a small child in there!), I might have to get this one!

While I was at work yesterday, I started browsing through a few airfare sites (hotwire, expedia, etc.), to see if flights were getting cheaper yet. Then, on a whim, I checked Southwest. I don't usually fly Southwest, because the closest airports they fly out of are Kansas City and St Louis, both about 3-4 hours from me.

However, I've been having problems with my ears ALL YEAR. I got an ear infection back in February, and ever since I've had fluid in my ears, which can be a HUGE pain when I drive anywhere, since the Ozark Mountains in which I live aren't exactly known for being flat. ;) I've been to several doctors, an ear specialist, an accupuncturist, EVERYTHING, and nobody has been able to fix it yet. So my concern is that if I sometimes have "AHH! Evil air pressure! I can't breathe!" moments in the CAR, that it's possible I'll have issues on a PLANE. Thus, non-stop flights are my friend!

Well, it turns out that I can either fly out of Kansas City at 6:55am and get to Orlando at 10:35, or leave at 12:45 pm and get there at 4:25. But get this- round trip will only cost $159! SWEET!

Given that my mom loves to gamble, she is always getting coupons in the mail for free casino hotel nights. So it would be quite easy to drive up to Kansas City on the 25th, get a free hotel room, eat a free buffet, win a million dollars on the slot machine, and then catch my flight the next morning.

I am digging this plan!

The only down side is that I'm still not sure how many days Kelly will be able to spend at WDW, and I'm still not sure how many days I'm able to AFFORD to spend at WDW. Knowing how many nights she and I will be splitting the resort costs makes a big difference! I'm afraid that if I book my flight for certain nights now, I'll either not be able to afford all of those nights, or I'll somehow be able to afford MORE nights, and either way, I'll be sad. But the cheapie airfares won't last long, so I need to book SOON!

In fact, I just checked on Southwest's site to see if there was any price difference if I flew home on Nov 4th instead of Nov 5th, and all of the return flights on the 4th are already sold out!

Although, while I'm talking budget, I guess I should take into consideration that this is a good $80-90 less than I was planning to spend on airfare, so that alone pays for a night at a value, if I end up low on cash.

Dude, I am really going to NEED that food & WINE fest by the time we get there!
