I've had a difficult time finding the kitchen Aid attachment for my 600 pro. None of the stores carry it and Kitchen aid has it for $99. I found it at Costco for $49.99:cool1::cool1::cool1:
I'm such a happy camper. I haven't had a chance to open it. After the first batch can I wash and redo another batch since its still cold???

Anyone have any recipes or where I can find some recipes for ice cream that you have all tried? ANy tips??

The model Costco had is KAICA . Hope this info helps someone :)

Welcome to ice cream making!

I had to replace mine a few years ago because it leaked which is a pretty common problem (my pullout cabinet is stained with the blue freezing liquid). I switched to the cuisinart ice cream maker which I find much easier to use and came with two bowls.

I wouldn't reuse the bowl. Your second batch is not going to get cold enough imo.

I tend to use a basic base with milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and egg replacement. I've modified it over the years. I've been tempted to buy the B&J ice cream recipe book but haven't yet.

I have never tried to use the bowl twice in a row. It might work, try it!

My favorite recipe is the cooked vanilla recipe in the instruction manual that came with the bowl. Yum.

I tried using it twice without refreezing and it didn't work.

If you like egg nog just put regular egg nog that you get in the dairy dept at the grocery store in bowl with a teaspoon or two of brandy. I also add a touch extra nutmeg. If you use a light egg nog you will need to add a little heavy cream. it takes a little longer to freeze because of the alcohol but it is really delicious. I serve it over molasses clove cookies.

I've read a lot of reviews about that happening. Hopefully Kitchen Aid took care of the issue and improved their product. I will be upset if mine leaks and stains my freezer.

My favorite ice cream recipe book is Sweet Cream and Sugar Cones.
Thank you
