We bought DVC at our favorite resort, The Polynesian. We've gone each year since 2011, sometimes twice a year and were going to skip 2016, but now the streak won't be broken!

How many points did you buy at Poly? If you bought at least 130 and you didn't buy a guaranteed week, while you are still in your 10 day recission period, I'd take a look at the fixed week option.

While you can still revoke, they will let you trade your contract in for a fixed week. It would be a cancel and rebuy in one step.

The reason I ask is because the guides rarely mention fixed weeks but that option could potentially add tremendous value to your contract.

For example, for 164 points you can get a week 50 (2nd week of Dec) fixed week Lake View each year.
If you need the fixed week, it's guaranteed. If you don't, you can opt out and use the points. Win. Win.

Either way, congrats. We own Poly and love it. There's quite a bit of criticism about Poly on the boards and much of it earned. DVC could have made Poly so much better, and I do think they'll fix some of the issues. In the meantime, it's still a pretty great resort.
