Thanks for your answer about loop 100 and 200. We won't get to the fort until 10/19 hopefully by 6pm. I now have to figure when it gets dark there.

No problem! Wish we were still here when you get here!
It gets dark around 7:30-8pm but you should be just fine. If you don't like the site when you get to it, just find another one that you like better and that will be easier for you to get into. Call up front and tell them you can't get into it, and they will be happy to move you. Maybe not to that exact site but make sure you look around and give them several site numbers that you feel comfortable getting into. You could even ride the bus to the loop and look around before you drive to it.
We changed sites in 1700 in May because we wanted to be close to the entrance and found a site that we liked better. I called up front and they told me to pull into the site I wanted instead of the one they had just assigned. It was no problem!

Here are a few pics of the roadwork that has been going on the last few days. They should finish up today(1 day behind schedule according to one of the workers.) They were almost finished last night when we came back from Epcot.

This is the site across from us. They had a water leak yesterday and had to dig up the lines and break up the road. They worked today fixing it up(but not re-paving it) and removed the cones.

Here is the snake that scared my daughter to death!!! It was at the steps of the camper when she went out and she fell back inside and scared us almost as much as she scared the snake, lol! It went under the camper and then into the pine needles and bushes behind us. By the time pest management got here it was long gone.

We went to Animal Kingdom on Tuesday around 10am and went straight to EE to get a FP. It was not running and the FP was for 12:50. The CM told us that it would be good until park closing. We saw Finding Nemo the Mus. and went to Dinoland and rode everything there and also rode Dinosaur. We went back to EE and it was still not running. A lady that was also waiting said that it stopped running Monday at lunch time and it hasn't run since. We decided to not wait any longer since it was so hot, so we went to Bug's Life and left for lunch at Olive Garden. We were there about 4 hours and it wasn't very crowded at all.

After lunch we went back to the campground and hit the pool. It also was not crowded.

Wednesday we went to HS. We got there around 10 and got a FP for TSM for 12pm. We went to TT and rode 2x with no wait and then rode RRC with a 30min. wait time. We saw the first show of Indiana Jones(HAD TO SEE THE FIRST SHOW, IT IS TOO HOT!), rode ST used our FP for TSM and left at 2pm to rest at the camper for EMH at Epcot.

These guys are hilarious! Don't miss the street shows at Hollywood, they are great!

We went to Epcot around 7 for EMH. It was not at all crowded when we got there. We walked onto SE and played a few games at the exit. We rode Nemo and watched Crush and checked out all the fish. We rode The Land(no wait) and Soarin(30min. wait) and were so thankful we didn't watch Illuminations. When we got off of Soarin the wait was 45min. but looked more like over an hour. We walked over to The World to grab a bite but everything was closing downconfused3). I would think that with the F&W fes. that some of it would have stayed open later for EMH. We walked over to TT but the wait was 40min. We went to EMH so that we wouldn't have to wait long but decided it wasn't working and we were starved. I am not sure EMH works real well at Epcot since the only thing that is open are the rides on either side of Innoventions and there seems to be a lot of resort people coming in for evening EMH there. There were not many places to eat past 9 except one station in Sunshine Seasons, the Coral Reef Rest., and Electric Umbrella. We had fun but would not go back there for EMH evening.

We are resting today. It is very hot and humid and we are just wore out! We are going to DTD and Target and will come back to cook a steak on the grill, then ride the monorail to all the resorts. I am so glad to be here but I wish we had brought the GA temps with us! Hope I get to meet Dr.Dan and get some pics later!

Anyone else besides TCD have any requests for pics or info? I will try to accommodate but with no golf cart and this heat, my snooping is limited!

Thanks TCD and The Flame for sunset hours. We will be leaving a campsite in Lenoir City, TN about 6am. We have 635 miles to drive to the fort. Being newbies at towing we are giving ourselves extra time not knowing what to expect in finding gas, construction etc.
We just wish the fort had pull thru sites.

Flame.....great report.....you're a good photographer too. I DO have a request , if you can possibly see to it......GIVE US AT LEAST ONE PIC OF YOU!!!!!!! We need to see our reporter!!!! Im so glad you guys are having so much fun despite the heat. Ya NEVER really get used to the heat in this part of the country, or at least "I" havent in the first 41 years of my life...maybe ya get used to it after 42 years!! Keep 'em coming!! And GET THAT SHOT OF YOU UP FOR US!!!

Great report, just have to comment on the Public Works crew at Hollywood Studios, they pulled my 6 year old out int he crowd last year for a show with some other kids, they were a hoot! If you see them definitely stop for the show.

Great pics, we are leaving Illinois in 47 days! Please send some luck that rains stops so we can get the crops out and head South!

Not trying to hijack the great thread, but thought we would answer a couple questions. We checked in Sunday and are in 320.

We just got home a few hours ago and I'm just getting caught up on the boards. I'm reading about all these DisBoarders that were there the same time that we were. Where were all your green DisBoard signs??? We drove around on the golf cart a lot and never saw another sign. I did meet Camping Christy though! We were on the same loop. I hope she does a trip report when she gets home. There was an incident on our loop last night, but I'll let her tell all of you about it.

Also, when we dropped off our golf cart with Kenny today, he said that Disney was making it more difficult for the off-site rental companies. I hope they don't make it too difficult because Kenny is such a great guy, and I really like renting from him. He once again gave us fantastic service!

Thanks Rog! I will work on the pic for you and I mean, WORK ON IT, lol, cropping, resizing, etc..... I am the picture taker PERIOD! I will try to get one I approve of...wait didn't you see that pic I took of me on page one?! I was in the parade at MK(a dream thing)...you know, I'm THAT red-head riding on the float, lol!

Thank you! What kind of crops do you plant in the fall in Illinois? We have chickens and they "plant" for us year round, lol! Have a great trip!

We are in the 100 loop and have only seen Dr.Dan, but haven't had the chance to meet him and get a peek inside his awesome camper. Sorry we missed you! We saw 6 police cars near the 100 loop and settlement when we got back from DTD last night and wondered what had went on... We talked to Kenny yesterday and he still plans on delivering carts(we decided not to get one) but GCE called me back today from my call a couple of days ago and she said that they wouldn't be able to rent out and deliver carts to the Fort any longer. That is really too bad and I hope that changes for them soon. Kenny just hasn't been found out yet I guess. He is a great guy by the way!

I will do a trip report update with pics tomorrow. I am too tired! I will say that we went to MK today when they opened at 9 and were back at the camper by 2. We rode 10 rides and saw one show. It was a WONDERFULLY uncrowded and productive day!

Wait a minute...is Pirate Jeff there too??? Is he on the 500 loop by any chance? If he is, I think my husband talked to him a few times about problems with our RV. In his signature on the boards, Jeff has a picture of his RV and it looks just like ours. I asked him about it once and they are almost the same (his is a Discovery and ours is a Providence, but they have the same paint job). While we were at the Fort this week, we started having trouble with our A/C in the bedroom and also our washer/dryer. There was a Discovery down the road from us and my husband went over and asked them a few questions...I wonder if it was Pirate Jeff! Also, when we came home from DD and found all the Orange County police cars, a woman came out of the Discovery to tell us what was going one...could that have been Jeff's wife?

I don't know if Jeff is here or not and we haven't met any other Diser's. He just made a funny comment earlier in my thread about my pathetic b&w Dis sign, lol! Something about a green crayon!
Rog made me a beautiful new Dis sign, but I didn't have time to go get it printed in color so it is a new and improved Halloween design in black and white!
