Finally a fireworks picture I am proud of..

And proud you should be. :thumbsup2 Great photo. I was there at the Noodle Station back in May, but not early enough, too far back to get good view.

Spectacular!!

D70 on a tripod, remote release

1s f/9.0 at 28.0mm

Thanks again for the compliments.

I went to a seminar once and the pro photographer mentioned the difference between an amateur and a pro is that the amateur just takes the picture. The pro waits for the shot to come to him.

I think you are a pro. Great job.

Once again, congratulations on the shot! Thanks for the settings. Now I know that I am going to have to do a photography centric trip sometime in the next year with my D100!!! Of course this means that I will need to add a trip after my October trip. Yeah!!!!!

Awesome picture!! You should be very proud of yourself.

The other main difference:

amateurs: react
pros: anticipate

Kelly, after hearing of your taping of wishes we also had a tripod set up with my video camera taping the show.

For my trip in Oct. I will have the timing memorized.

Thanks for that Kelly, I would have never thought to do that.

To get to the noodle station you take a hard right after the last building on main street and it is up on the right. There is a large balcony that overlooks the water and the castle. There are tables with chairs so we could sit, restrooms up by the resturaunt and of course food from the actual Noodles resturaunt.

Tip: Order a side of rice, it is not on the menu but it is only .99 and it is GOOD!!!! Only thing I know of onsite for .99. :thumbsup2

Yup and don't forget to order the Pad Thai Noodles (the non-soupy one, with lots of cashew pieces and prawns). I don't like Pad Thai, but I love the one there!!

Also at MGM, when you order the Chicken Curry, order a side of rice. 2 Chicken Curry + 2 side orders of Rice is enough to fill up 2 hungry adults and one 7 year-old.
