The cost of a rental car is huge when we are going (3/29-4/6), but after combing a hundred + codes and coupons, I finally got a half way decent rate with National. I reserved a midsize -and am an Emerald Member, so got the Emerald Aisle deal. I have a few questions..we are flying in on Jet Blue, arriving at 8:15 pm. What do you think the chances of a suv or mini-van will be at that time (hopefully there will be alot if later in the day drop offs) and which is better to go to Terminal a or b? How far are the terminals from each other incase I want to leave the dh and dd and scope out the cars available. Thanks...

Did you have any codes? We are looking at March 30 - April 11 and the prices are crazy.

I wouldn't count on a mini-van being there, but if there is one, GREAT!

I did the trek to the other terminal one time and it was a haul. You have to go up to level three, cross over to the other side of the building, down to level 1, across the street to the garage. It is a haul.

Click HERE for a great link the discusses the Emerald Aisle and Executive Selection at MCO.

I used the code for emerald members and a $40 off for the week and it was still $345! I can't find anything cheaper :(

There were no mini vans on the Emerald Aisle when we were there. A lot of Camrys if I remember correctly.

National is my favorite company as well but I've given up on them for our 04/04 thru 04/11 and got the Budget X474200 BCD Code deal. Just went to Travelocity and w/that code & your dates you can get a Premium car for $225.00 ($353.85 w/tax)

I have 3 rentals
National - Emerald Aisle for $345.45
Budget - Jeep Grand Cherokee - $354.55 (plus a $40 coupon upon drop off)
Alamo - full size - $331.18

I know the Alamo is cheapest by a few bucks. I just like picking our car out and always got the best price with National. Is the Jeep a nice sized car? Never been in one b/c that's the best total price in the end.
