I know others may not agree, but I'm glad to see this is occurring. I think we may be underestimating how much pool hoppers contribute to the crowds, and it does make sense to me to put limits on the pool with the addition of BCV. I hate to hear people are upset, I think it has been communicated pretty widely. We've been talking about it on DIS for at least 6 months, it's been on the official website, and communicated in Vacation Magic. We hopped on the last day of our VWL stay on June 14th. SAB was not crowded, but they were checking IDs and issuing wristbands to all guests. The CM said many DVCers were still unaware of the "No Hopping" policy...
I would venture a guess that the number of BCV people pool hopping to OKW might be fairly limited. However, I don't think that limiting a BCV member to take a break during the middle of a Magic Kingdom day, and pool hop over to the Contemporary or Poly to cool off a bit is needed. There is certainly not a large crowd at a pool as a reasonable cause for such a policy as there obviously is at SAB. This just seems like sour grapes to me, and unecessary.I would like to see a policy where if you are staying at BCV you can only use SAB, no hopping to other resorts. We can't use your pool....you can't use ours!!!
