Patti, I'm happy things are working out well.

Add me to the list of folks who thinks that her response on the phone means she was interested in more than just friendship. A true friend would have said, "Well, I can see how your wife might have misconstrued some of the messages," and not gone on an expletive-laden tirade.

I also agree with the others concerning her intentions. Her reaction was extremely disrespectful to you, and an actual "friend" would have been concerned for her friend and his wife. This woman was mad that you were "interfering" (from her viewpoint) with her relationship with your husband.

He did exactly what he needed to do and showed how much you mean to him. Now, I'd suggest a text message or two that he has NOOOO trouble misunderstanding (if you KWIM! ).

I'm so happy your DH did just what he should do. He put you first! If she used all those curse words on the phone, she sounds like she has some problems. Your DH showed he respects your feelings. That is wonderful.

I also have to add that since "the phone call", he has been burning up his text/phone minutes on ME.

I think he called me at least 3 times today and texted me a few more. I explained that every minute of time he was using on texting her or calling her, was time taken away from the person who really deserved it.

I think he got the message loud and clear.

I'm glad things are working out for you... I really am, but I think realistically it is too soon to tell if it's long-lasting. I am not trying to , but I have seen many people on marriagebuilders.com resort back to their old behaviors.

I just wish this is not the case for you.
