Final Stage of Disney Mom Panel

I just got an email last night that I made it to the final stage of the Disney's Mom Panel. I'm soooo excited!!

Who else got another email from the last one? You send them a phone number to contact you this weekend and set up your phone interview for Monday, Tuesday or Thursday!

As a matter of fact, at least a couple other DIS'ers made it to the final stage, another 4 that I know of anyway. Marleen is now a member of the DIS, just because she just joined doesn't mean she's not now part of the board, and she obviously is quite passionate about Disney and knows quite a bit about the parks to have made it to the final 26 out of a starting pool of 10,000 applicants! Who knows, maybe she's been lurking for years, or maybe she just found the DIS, whatever, she's here now, and I will be very pleased if she or any other DIS'er makes it to the final panel!

Hopefully I'm just misreading your comments because it almost sounds like you are implying that because she's only got 4 posts, she's not as 'worthy' of being on the panel as someone who has hundreds or thousands of posts, like she's taking a spot that should rightfully be someone else's. If I am, then I apologize in advance, it is sometimes hard to really know what someone means just through type.

No, I just thought it was ironic that she only had 4 DIS posts but people were acting like she was a long time DISer as so many others are. I'm very happy for her and would love to see the other DISers make it too. I'm sure she is very worthy of getting in and I hope that she will continue to post here as well and share her knowledge.

As someone who made it as far as round 2, I am happy for you. I really think all those who made it must be really creative. After all, we had to stand out among thousands of others who applied. I don't know how many finalist were in round 2 ,but I would assume it was under 100. The numbers had to be small enough for them to go through in just a few days. I hope your interview goes well and we welcome you here with open arms. Please keep us posted on how you do and remember to put a plug in for us 2nd rounders if they need additional people.

Yeah! It is wonderful that you made and our new member. It does not say to apply you must belong to the DIS. Even with 4 posts, she is passionate about Disney and it is honour. Way to go!
