Final season of ER - Dr Ross to make a guest appearance!!

I like that they didn't ask about Carter .. it would have made it seem a little more soap opera-ish .. you know, a race for the clock to get the kidney there? I did think it was weird, though. But it worked with the episode.

Here's the Wikipedia entry for Season 15:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ER_(season_15)

Thanks for the wikipedia link. It looks like before it is all said and done we will see (or at least hear about--Cleo) everyone but Jeng-Mai Chen and Malucci.

Sam and Neela are so "new" and Carter hasn't been around much with them, they didn't make the connection. Anyway, I kind of like the way all of their lives intersected again without Doug, Carol, and Carter even realizing it. It reminds me of the early episodes when not everything had to be wrapped up neatly. Lets the viewer use their imagination and fill in the blanks.

Not that it really matters much, but I think Sam started before Carter left for Africa. I didn't actually remember it that way either. But when Carter returned a few episodes back, they greeted one other like they knew each other.

Either way, I was a little disappointed there was no interaction between Ross, Hathaway and the rest of the old crew back in Chicago. But I guess it would have felt too contrived to get them back to Chicago since they live in WA now. And if they would have killed off Carter to just "force" that, it would have seemed too manufactured.

I thought last nights episode was a little surprise. I sort of wish Ross and Hathaway would have learned the kidney was for Carter, but as someone else said, it would be a little soap-ish. I'm glad that now it looks like Carter won't die, which is what I was afraid of.

And I agree with everyone else, those scenes between Benton and Carter were perfect. I loved at Benton took over the OR like that.

This just makes it harder and harder to watch because I know it is coming to an end.:sad1:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Loved last night's episode! Honestly, and I know everyone is always saying this about every episode, but it really seemed like the old ER to me. Not just because of the returning characters, but because of the way everything was weaved together and intertwined.

And Reese is thirteen??? :scared1: Oh MAN!!! I have been watching this show for awhile!

What a great way to come full circle! I wonder if it will be the same actress who played Rachel when we last saw her in 2004, Hallee Hirsh?

I thought last night's episode was great. It almost seemed like Doug, Carol, and Benton had never been gone. I loved the scenes with Carter and Benton.
Yes, it is the same actress.

I know it is hard to understand when they say it on TV, but Carter's significant other is named "Kem". Her character was played by actress Thandie Newton.

I read in TV Guide that Laura Innes and Sherry Stringfield already made their appearances. Is that true? I don't know how I missed them, I watch ER every week.

Kerry was very briefly in the flashback episode with Mark Greene treating Banfield's son. Wikipedia says she will also be in the final episode. Susan is also listed as appearing in the finale.

I've been an ER fan since the beginning too. I watched the first episode and was hooked. My second child was a baby then, now she's in high school! This final season has been great, it's too bad they are ending the show. Hopefully the last episode will bring a fitting end and maybe even bring the series full circle.

This is OT but I'd LOVE to know where Sandy got the Disney family in her sig. I have those on my car but would like them for my avatar.

I too LOVED Thurs night's show. I was in tears over seeing old faves and knowing it's ending all too soon. How thankful I was for those brief moments to "catch up" with Doug and Carol. I am SO glad it looks like they're not gonna kill off Carter. It was disheartening how nobody seemed to get a happy ending around there, and boy, does he deserve one. I was so touched by the scenes with him and Benton... I really don't know how I'll take to seeing Dr. Greene's daughter return - she was such a brat, and I have always held her personally responsible for Mark and Elizabeth's problems at the end! Hopefully there has been enough maturity in the character to make me appreciate her... Hoping for one final glimpse of Luka...(sigh)...think I'm out of luck though!! ;-)

I watched the first episode and was hooked. My second child was a baby then, now she's in high school!

I went into labor on a thursdday night and would NOT go to the hospital until after ER was over. That child is now 14.5 years old!!!

He says he doesn't like Er because i chose to watch it and kept him trapped inside longer than necessary! LOL

I think about that alot..since they keep saying it's been on forever...and it has ...my baby is 14 years old! :sad2:

So did everyone catch last nights show? I liked how Neela left and went to Ray, I am glad they are "ending" up with one another :goodvibes

I cried again last night, (Neela's name plate on the wall):sad1: I better get a box of tissues just for the last show, I think i'll need them all!

Of course I watched. I was crying also. That last episode is going to be so hard to watch, knowing it is the very last episode EVER!!!!

I was in labor with my first daughter and would not let the doctors turn off the TV. It was the episode where Romano's arm meets the helicopter blades. ER's been on since I was 16. It's like losing a friend!

I have felt like this horrible mother because I too was watching ER while they prepped me for a c-section. I remember the nurse asking me what I was watching because in the episode they were dealing with a car crash victim and there was blood everywhere. When I told her ER, she asked if I was sick?

We were on the east coast at the time, ER came on at 10:00, my son was born at 11:12pm. Missed the last 20 minutes of the episode. I wonder how many more ER babies there are?

I have one.

I was in labor with my first on a Thursday night too. I remember trying to focus on the episode through the contractions but I finally had to tell my (now ex) husband to turn it off somewhere around 10:30. My daughter was born at 11:17pm :cutie:

It was January 16, 1997. I wonder if I ever caught that episode?

My second daughter was born on a Thursday also, January 13, 2000. But she was born around noon. I can't remember if I caught ER that night or not. :confused3
