Final Payment Question

Our final payment is due Oct 13. Due to a vet emergency (extremely expensive but he was a member of our family) I will still have a small balance. By Oct 13 the trip will be 95% paid off. Do you think if I call them I will be able to make the last payment on 10-22?

I remember someone posted on here they are okay with asking for an extension if you call them and especially since you are almost paid up.

We had a vet emergency when our payment was due as well. We called and they said we had until 30days out to pay. Paid like 7 days after our 45days and had no issues.
Sorry about the vet, is fur baby ok?
 

Call & let them know what is going on. My dd had a lot of problems before her last trip & they let her slide for more than 30 days but she did call them several times tho.
 
Thanks for the replies. Fur baby was hit by a car and shattered both of his legs and broke his pelvis. We live in the country and he was outside with DH and decided to chase a rabbit. He had to have several surgeries but in the end the vet said he would never be able to run and possible never walk. He was in so much pain and we had to put him down. He was our first baby together and we have had him longer that our children.

Well I tried but I was not able to pay the full amount. I called WDW and they told me that they don't normally offer extensions but will send me an email before they cancel. I am now more worried than before. I have non-refundable airfare. 4 excited kids and now I am not even sure if we get to go.

First, I am so sorry for your loss. Have had something similar happened, but he died instantly. So sorry for what you and he have been through. I'll remember your family in my prayers.

Well I tried but I was not able to pay the full amount. I called WDW and they told me that they don't normally offer extensions but will send me an email before they cancel. I am now more worried than before. I have non-refundable airfare. 4 excited kids and now I am not even sure if we get to go.

Did you ask for a supervisor? I have to believe that somebody can help you. Just keep going up the chain.
 
Thanks for the condolences. Well she put a note on my account on the date I would pay (no later than) and even the time of day I would pay. I still owe 500.00 on the trip but my trip was 5100 originally. So it's not like I just paid the deposit.

Sorry to hear about your furbaby - I can't even imagine going through something like that with my furbaby.
 
Well I talked with a supervisor (I think). He told me it was noted on my account. Although they can't guarantee that my trip won't be cancelled he said I will receive 2 emails prior to cancellation. He said they USUALLY won't cancel before 30 days out. I asked why they couldn't give me a date. I mean it's not like my trip could be cancelled on day 44 while Joe Smith can have until 30 days. I thought they would have had the same policy for everyone. So I didn't get the answer I was hoping for but at least I can once I get the emails I will have a better idea.

I would ask anyone I know to borrow the cash until the date and then pay them. You are not unable to pay, just unable to by x date.

They can't give you a date because it's just an automatic cancellation. No one goes in and physically cancels it by a certain day.

I'm sure there are different factors that sway how quickly something cancels versus another (airfare, percentage paid, weekends, etc). At least they're cutting you some slack at all - if pushed to give an exact date they could've just stuck with the 45 day marker.
