I checked the Bonners web site, and they have a 36" tree with lite stars, and shipping was only $9....so, I guess I could order and have it shipped to the resort...and since I'll be the first user, I can bring the other stuff down with me, to put in the box....does this sound OK? We arrive at Pop Nov 11 and 12, and then OKW Nov 13 thru 20th.

So I guess you are donating the OKW tree! That sounds workable, although there mighht not be room for the other items in the box Bonners uses. Might want those in a separate box that is then passed on and shipped back to you.

OK, so what do donators put in their boxes besides the tree?

Some I have seen:

Shipping label for return (could be prepaid - safe to assume abouit the same weight both ways)

Envelope for donations to repay shipping

Lights (if not pre-lit, and maybe some for the room even if)

Extension cord/power strip

Ornaments (see below)

Packing tape


Gifts for families (entirely optional and should be small!)

We still need a Jambo House tree. Starting next Thursday 9/1, you can PM me to be a tree family and we'll start figuring out who gets what tree when.

I will need our resort and dates of arrival and departure. It might be that you don't get a tree for your entire stay, but we'll try to have everyone who requests get a tree for at least a night.

WDWSTAR and I will be contacting you with more details - I'm thinking we'll probably split the resorts once we see how "busy" each one is.

We actually have friends who have a house in Clermont...so, if the box for my OKW tree is small, I can have them hunt a replacement down before we leave and repack in there. Getting excited...glad to be a part of this great idea...

Hello DVC Families just in a few days we will be adding families to help share the trees that have been donated. Please remember we can only add families to the trees we already have and we can add more families if we receive more donated trees.
