films on virgin

Hi does anyone know what films are on virgin flights nov/dec.VA site just has samples and no schedule of whats showing.

The VA website used to be updated each month to show the film schedules for various routes but, as you've discovered, they no longer do that. Maybe some recent returners could tell you what's on in November. I don't think there's any way of finding out in advance what will be shown in December.

Not sure of all the films but on the way out to Orlando on 02/11/07 some of the films included:

Oceans 13
Harry Potter (can't remember the name but it's the latest one)
Pirates of the Caribbean - at worlds end
Surfs Up
(sorry these are the only ones I can remember, but I know that another one was a romantic comedy sort of film with Catherine Zeta Jones... i'm more of a book reader than a film watcher)

On the way back on Friday (16/11/07)
The choices included:
Die Hard 4
Fantastic Four
a film that had Chuck and Larry in the title
Hairspray
(again sorry I can't remember but I slept the whole way back on the plane).

We have just returned. Add FireHouse Dog and Evan Almighty on outbound together with SpiderMan 3 , Knocked up, Transformers. Spider Man 3 was playing because of problems with POC at Worlds End

Just keep your fingers crossed you get a system that works. We just flew back in this morning and the entertainment system was not working properly on most of the plane

They re-booted the machine but then only put on Shrek the Third. That was fine but I couldn't turn the screen off when I was trying to get some sleep. Need to keep my caffine intakes up for the rest of the day

Socks, no; eyemask, yes. I've always wondered why they give you socks on the way out (daytime), but not on the night flight on the way back.

Was that a manchester flight.If anyone knows any faulty screens what seat numbers,would not like to go 9 hrs with no films.

The planes used on Manchester to orlando are the same planes as used on the gatwick to orlando route. they rotate between these two airports (and Glasgow)
So you have the chance of any one of eight different aircraft.

If maintenance is carried out, then you may never have the problem. Its pot luck.

Socks, no; eyemask, yes. I've always wondered why they give you socks on the way out (daytime), but not on the night flight on the way back.

Essentially the socks are for covering your feet when walking round the aircraft (especially with the amount of people who miss the toilet bowls!!!) As most people sleep on the way back, the logic I suppose is to give eye masks on that route not socks.

We just flew back on Friday night and had socks and an eye mask in our little bag?

W flew out on Barbarella and had problems with the TV system. By the looks of the DVD players they were handing out so did lots of other people.

Flew back on Pretty Woman and the TV's were fine.

Films were as posted above.
