Fill in all available space- recently?

Any recent experiences of CM telling people to fill in all available space? Rumor is they are not supposed to do that anymore but need to check on if this is reality or not in the last couple of weeks. I have experienced it on many rides but haunted mansion before you go into the building is one of the most blatant examples I have experienced. Just checking to see if anyone has any very recent experiences of this changing (hopefully).

It's always been like this at HM especially in the queue but hardly anyone listens or follows it. I do lol, so if someone says something I'm like they said fill in all available space and a CM usually says it again lol!

FWIW-Philharmagic and Muppets 3d are the same way.

Recently, potentially around the time the new DAS interview procedures went into effect a couple weeks ago as a part of the Disney parks’ new approach to guests with disabilities.

Just returned from a 2 week trip and heard "please fill in all available spaces" dozens of times. In queues like GotG they have an announcement over and over to move up, keep up with party ahead of you, don't leave gaps, etc. If they stopped saying this, no one got the memo.

We were there in early May and it was definitely in effect. If your nose isn't touching the back of the head of the person in front of you, you are not filling in all of the available space...

The CM managing the pre-show room at Muppets was having a fun time with it. He said "If you can't tell whether or not the people around you are wearing deodorant, then you have too much space around you." The room was not even half full, so I think they are just locked into this mindset like automatons. There is zero logic applied. We had a particularly aggressive CM at Philharmagic who was almost drunk with line smooshing power. She was walking around and telling specific people or groups of people to get in tighter. Again, less than a half full room.

Lovely. The new disability assessment team is lying to people (they’ve literally told people Disney has stopped this practice). What could go wrong?

They were definitely doing it on my trip in early May. People don't actually do it, but the CMs did ask us to - over and over and over again.

100% But anyone following the new das stuff has seen this repeatedly. The source of this rumor was definitely the new das phone team telling people this is a new accommodation action in the park.

ugh this is what I was afraid of. Initially after they made DAS changes someone said they did not say that at haunted mansion but it sounds like that was a one off. So disappointing. During our early to mid may trip we heard it more than ever in many lines and I could not maintain any space for myself. People moved up from way back in the line especially haunted mansion. It was more than I could deal with honestly.

We just left WDW last Thursday. CMs are definitely still asking guests to fill all available spaces.

Filling in all available space has been back since like 2022 in my experience.
At this point things are back to pre C for the most part.

I was at WDW during Memorial day weekend and extended my trip to the week after. This was definitely still a thing, especially for Guardians. They really do pack that preshow room to the brim.

I will say that ToT wasn't filled up completely. There was a decent amount of space between me and other groups. I did ride later in the day when it was only a posted 30 minute standby wait so unsure if that had anything to do with it.

Here now and we've heard it a lot. I'll say it doesn't seem as forceful as before, but they're definitely still saying it.

This was also said to us on HM & RoTR@ DL this past fall.
