Figuring out tips....

does this sound right...I got these amounts from my DCL vacation brochure. Total recommended tips for 2 adults on a 4 night cruise are $87.50? Broken down in this manner:

14.75 X2 = 29.50 for Dining room server

10.75 X 2= 21.50 for dining room asst. Server

3.75 X 2= 7.50 for dining room head server

14.50 X 2= 29.00 for stateroom host.

I would imagine that this is the bare minimum? Would they be happy with this? Do you tip the Dining manager? It says at your discretion but if we don't have any interaction with them do we tip them?

These are "suggested" tips. You should tip what you see fit!

We usually either round up from the suggested and in many cases, add on 10-15% more.

We added to everyone BUT the host, because as you mentioned we barely had any interaction with him other than what I felt was what he thought he needed to do TO get a tip...so he got the base.
