No...but I just mentioned your thread to DH (because he's making us watch an awful move..."the Other Guys"...) and I said "We COULD be watching the US Figure Skating Championships right now instead of this Goddawful movie." To which he said his boss, the CEO, offered him FREE TICKETS to the event tonight and tomorrow AND DH TURNED IT DOWN!!

I'm so going to punish him for making me watch this movie.

Last group is warming up. Don't know what you've seen on television, but Ashley Wagner just redeemed herself after a disappointing short program. This is going to be a great program. The top three ladies are all past champions and the scores are close. Very excited to be here.

My DD is a figure skater. She's at a school dance tonight, so I'm DVR'ing it so we can watch it together tomorrow. She's a huge Rachael Flatt fan and has been for years. Here's a pic of her and her friends w/ Rachael which was taken a few years ago when Rachael was competing at the senior level. Some of the other skaters teased Rachael when I took this picture thinking it was funny that Rachael had a fan club. Well, look at her now! My DD and her friends knew talent when they saw it. I told DD back then that Rachael was so good that she'd be in the Olympics one day, and she was!

Brian Orser deserves a score just as much as Christina Gao. For both of he programs he's been on the side doing every movement with her.

I take that back. I will be here tomorrow if I can find my sister. She left me to go stalk Evan Lyscek. I'm watching the medal ceremony while she does that.

How has parking been at the coliseum? Did you take the bus from 4 Seasons? My DS8's class went on Monday. He said it was "soooooo booorrring" but he was glued to the tv last night telling us about the girls that pick up the stuffed animals and flowers.

I've been a skating fan for over 20 years, so I've been watching online (Icenetwork) and on television. It's been an interesting championship so far, and you can tell the skaters the USFSA has been promoting for 'our future' already.

At least the judges redeemed themselves after the farce of the short program judging.

And when are they going to start marking down for lutzes and flips that take off on the wrong edge/multiple edges?

The men's free skate should be exciting tonight. I hope the top skaters have great skates like the ladies did!
