Yay! You've ordered your dress!! I know that is a huge relief. The dress you chose looks beautiful on you! You have done such a great job on updating the veil, I'm glad it's going to work with your dress.

I love the shoes you are wearing! I am wearing heels to the ceremony, but am going to change at the reception as we are going 2:30-10pm. I have ballet slippers but those are not going to work. They are much too soft.

I truly love your gown - it looks simply stunning on you! and I agree with wearing comfortable flats - I have the same ones you have pictured but in cream..they are super comfortable! everything looks fantastic - looking forward to more ..:surfweb: :goodvibes

It was so nice to have the dress ordered. Now I feel like I can concentrate on all the smaller details. :yay:

I agree, ballet slippers are definitely pretty soft. I couldn't imagine toughing out the entire day in heels either. We are starting pictures at 8 am and won't be done with everything until close to 10 pm with the dessert party. It is going to be a long day

Thanks for the compliment on the dress; it felt great to finally find one :bride: That's good to hear about the shoes. They felt really good at the store, so I was hoping that they would be good for walking around all day.

You're dress is beautiful, and you look gorgeous in it!!!

9" cylinder vases filled with gel (9" cylinder vases filled with gel (5 in lavender/5 in orange). Place (2) LED lights in each and accent with Figment PVC characters.

This sounds kinda neat... Does Figment float on the top, or is he suspended in the gel? And are you providing any of this, or are they doing the whole thing?

It's a really cool accent!

I'm not quite sure how the Figments are going to look. They are placed inside the glow gel centerpieces that they use for the dessert parties. Laura (my floral manager) has been trying to track down some pictures from that event. She is going to send me some pictures from other dessert parties this week. I guess they do a lot of different characters, I think the ones she is sending me are from a wedding that used Mickey in theirs. I will make sure to post the picture as soon as I get it.

I'm so happy for you that you found your dress! You look beautiful in it! I thought about wearing actual ballerina slippers, but wasn't sure how supportive they were for walking a lot, and opted for some nice shoes and a pair of silver flilp flops to change into. You have a long day, so I would definitly be getting comfy shoes, wow!

Thanks, I was so relieved to be done with dress shopping! Ballet slippers aren't bad, but if you're spending a lot of time on a hard surface standing in place for a long time they can start to both you. Shoes were a hard decision, I just knew I wanted something that I could stand being in while dragging around my dress all day :)

The dress looks great on you! I'm loving hearing the plans so far, thank you for posting all the pics too!

Those shoes are awesome! I thought the shoes I picked would be really comfortable, but I might just need to get a pair of those too just in case!

I kind of feel bad for my bridesmaids now since I know they are not going to be comfortable in heels all day. I think might have to come up with a solution for something that they can wear after the reception.

I got in a car accident on Thursday on my way back from work. I was taking a side road off of the freeway to avoid a huge traffic backup in a construction zone. A young kid blew through a stop sign going 55 mph and broadsided me. I'm okay, just bruised and sore (at least I'm on some good meds to make it through okay.) Thank God, it wasn't any worse and that everyone walked away!

My DF was on the phone with me when it happened (I had my bluetooth earpiece in at the time.) He called my mom hysterical because he said he heard a crash and then me crying. I blacked out for a few minutes and when I woke up the girl behind me stopped and came right up to my car. She called my family for me. I vaguely remember the firefighters coming up and taking my vitals. After a few minutes I crawled into the passenger seat. A police officer came up to my car and asked where they had taken the driver. I said, "I am the driver." He was relieved... apparently most people don't walk away from these types of accidents

Anyway, I will probably be MIA for a few days, I'm on some good meds for pain, so that makes it a lot easier to deal with everything. Kris drove right up that night. I have serious bruising from the seat belt and on my hip from the door handle. I have some small cuts on my arm from the window. The only thing that really worried me was some marking on my face from the airbag, the doctor said not to worry that it shouldn't scar.

Here are a few pictures (I hope they don't bother anyone):

I'm so glad to hear that you're all right!! The pictures look so awful. I was in a similar could-have-been-fatal accident like that a few years ago and felt very, very lucky that it wasn't worse. How scary for your DF that he was on the phone with you at the time. That must have been terrifying for him. Again, thank goodness that you're o.k. I hope you have a speedy recovery that's as painless as possible. Take care of yourself and get lots of rest.

OH you poor thing, i'm so glad you are alright! That cop is right! I come from a family of firefighters and Paramedics, and often when a car looks like that, its at least one fatality. You're poor DF, i can't even imagine having to hear that and not being able to do anything. You get rest and take care of yourself, you'll be good as new before too long, and don't you worry about the marks from the airbag, i'm sure it will heal quickly and you will be just beautiful in time for that wedding! You're in my prayers!
