Your pictures are great! It sounds as thought your session went well. I want to try all the little cake twinkies! and ALL the fillings...twice!:rotfl:
I have been toying with the idea of singing at our vow renewal, but I don't know. I think I would be incredibly nervous. I would be leary to play piano, especially since you've been a little out of practice. Of course, I'll bet Kris would love it, even if you played chopsticks, just because you did it for him. Ya'll are so cute together in your pics.

How have you been feeling since the accident? I hope things are progressing well for you. I think about you often, I'm glad you were able to post some more here today. I'm just about ready to begin my VR plannng journal. I've been collecting pictures to be able to post.

I can't wait to hear the next installment!

I told Kris that we had to have a couple of shots with the Mickey ears!

We had around 125 pictures and I was extremely pleased compared to what we had done in Michigan.

More to come…

Your engagement shots look great! I love that you changed clothes in between locations, it gives you a wider selection of pics. Randy did a great job! I can't wait to work with him!

Btw... I'll be in Michigan over Christmas, I'm not afraid of the cold... just as long as I can leave after a week :)

Thanks, I was so pleased with the outcome of the pictures. We tried to get a good variety because I'm using them to make a photo book to use as a guest book. This way we'll have a way to use our pictures for years to come and I plan on using it as a coffee table book.

Maybe you'll be lucky and it won't be too cold at Christmas this year:sunny:

Just wanted to say I have really enjoyed reading your report. I reread it all today as we are heading down next month for a site visit and I am now backtracking on things that I have been reading over the past few months to take note and print out pictures to bring.

I remember your centerpieces being the snowglobes and was wondering how you are using them. Also, have you decided on who will be getting the snowglobes and how you will be giving them away - or are you going to keep them for yourselves? I love this idea but I need to decide where our reception will be. We are having about 50 people and if we chose Ariels this would mean about 9 centerpieces. Which would be great. If we go with Atlantic Dance Hall the tables are only 4 tops so that would mean alot more tables and they are alot smaller and the snowglobes would look too big.

I was wondering how many people you are having per table and was wondering if you had any pictures of what the tables will look like set up. I know you said you got the idea from a wedding being held at Ariels when you went down to visit. Did you happen to get any pictures of that? Are you just having the snowglobes or are you adding anything else to the table (votives or flowers)? I love everything you are doing - it really looks wonderful.

Thanks for any answers you can provide.

Linda

Thank you Linda, I'm glad you're enjoying everything so far. :)

For the snowglobes, Laura (from Disney floral), is going to put some of the shorter ones on glass blocks. There will then be ivy around the blocks. Petals matching the flowers from the bouquets will be sprinkled around the table and then votives will also be spread around.

If you end up at Atlantic Dancehall I would check out the smaller snowglobes. I know I've seen some that are only around $10-15 on Disneyshopping.com.

Here is what I was able to find from Ariel's. It's hard to see in this picture, but this bride just had rose petals sprinkled around the base of them and it still looked great. I just decided to add a little more to my centerpieces.

I don't have a picture of what mine will look like set up, but it's pretty easy to imagine. Disney will just provide the clear glass blocks and the petals will include daffodil, iris, and other petals from my spring bouquets.

Let me know if there's any other question that you have before your site visit.

Can I ask how much Disney Floral is charging you to put the ivy & flower petals around your snowglobes?

For my sandcastles they're charging me $45 per table (times 16) and then $70 for the larger one on the buffet table. So in total I'm paying $790 for flower petals, which i think is way too much, but I really need something to enhance my sandcastles and make them appear a little larger.

We are paying $50 to rent 10 glass blocks (2 of our snowglobes are taller, so they don't need blocks.) Then for the 12 tables we are being charged $240 for petals. Then the votive accents for all the tables including the head one will be $95 ($20 for the head table and $75 for the regular tables). All together with rentals, votives, and petals the total cost for 12 tables is $385.

However, keep in mind we are using cheaper flowers compared to most people for our bouquets. For instance my bridal bouquet will include "daffodils, freesia, hydrangea, ranunculus, lavender iris, light accent of roses and stephanotis" will be $250.

Hopefully that helps out some :goodvibes What other things are being add besides flower petals to your tables? Are you tables larger? At the living seas the tables only seat 6 people, so the tops are smaller compared to ones that seat 8 or 10 which I would assume take more petals to accent. Just a thought...

That helps a lot! I'm definitely going to have to ask for ivy & cheaper petals! My mom went crazy when she found out how much they were charging us!

I'm also at the Living Seas, but we're having 16 tables instead of 12. The sandcastles will be surrounded by flower petals, and 3 votive candles. The votives are something like $2.50 each... basically nothing compared to my outrageously expensive flower petals.

kristen, are you having the square or round votives? i know 2.50 isn't a lot of money compared to other things...but you can buy votives for .50! wow...

We're paying the $2.50 too for the votives. I'm sure it all depends on the types of flowers. Thankfully I didn't get a bill showing a price like you got, I'm sure you'll be able to work something out. Good luck :goodvibes

caryndisneydiva: I know the price is ridiculous! I was going to buy some on my own, but I already have so many other things to transport I thought it would just be too much to worry about it.

I know! But since we're inside a park, you cant go there to set it up yourself, and Disney charges a set up fee for everything you dont purchase from them. I bought my own centerpieces and Rose said the only way she would set them up for me is if I purchase floral from her. Even on top of that i'm being charged a set up fee.

I recently got my photobook from Shutterfly. I received a card in the mail for a free 8x8 so I only paid $7.41 for shipping. It is 20 pages long. I'm thinking about using it as a guestbook. I left white space for people to sign it. I saw this idea on a wedding show and thought it would be cute. They suggested it as a great way to reuse your engagement pictures and to have a functional guestbook. They said you could turn your guestbook into a coffee table book that people would look at for years to come :woohoo:

Here are a few of the pages. There are 20 pages all together-
