figmentfan814AAR~LivingSeas~French Is. *I'm back and married! Will start TR soon!*

your dress looks great! i found the cinderella necklace on ebay, and i agree, it's too big for your neckline, though i love the tiara. i'd be so nice if one or two of them popped up to buy somewhere!!!

Thanks everyone! I officially felt like a :bride: once I was able to take my dress home with me. It's hard to believe the wedding is only around 3 months away.

I was lucky enough to get the set through one of the outlets during the Memorial Day sale. I only paid around $30 for the necklace, so I decided to hold on to the whole set. I figured even if I don't wear it for the wedding it will be nice to have all the pieces to pass down.

Here's the necklace that I'm thinking about getting. I wish there was a closer shot, but I saw it when I was at DTD in September at the Arribas Brothers store.

It hangs down into the V-neck on the dress, but not too low. The clear beading picks up off of the dress and the tear-drop matches the tiara. It is also by Swarovski.

Your dress is fabulous..........do you have any pics of the back of it?
Your mom looks more like she could be your sister!

Here are a couple pictures of the back that I uploaded yesterday before leaving home. My veil hits right below the V-point in the beading. I told my mom seeing the dress on is incentive to keep working out because I don't want any extra cushioning rolling over the top in the back :rotfl::

I haven't taken any pictures of the train for my white dress, but here is one of the original cream dress that I tried on:

I'm sure my mom will be happy to hear that because most people say I look like my dad :goodvibes

it fits you perfectly in the back! i really like the necklace, i think it compliments your dress perfectly!

I've just gotten back from a week at WDW, so I've spent this evening catching up on everyone's posts. I just had to pop in to say your dress looks amazing on you! You really look like a princess in it.:bride:

I agree with Ohiogrumpygirl, you and your mom look like sisters!

I just found out that my TKD national tournament will be in the Detroit area next year. I'll let you know what town once I find out the name. Maybe you could give me some sightseeing tips.

Definitely!! Just let me know once you have more details. Unfortunately Detroit gets a bad rap, but there are still a lot of fun things to do around. I would be more than happy to give you some traveling tips. :)

Hi again!

I just found out the tournament will be at the Detroit Marriott. Awesome for me since we should be able to get a family discount. DBF's dad works at the Marriott. I'm excited about traveling. I've only been to Michigan once (not counting the 5 hour layover there last year). A friend from college is from Tawas (sp?). I just remember the long, straight roads near her. Now I just have to see if I'll be a black belt then or if I will still be a red belt.

Just wanted to let everyone know Kris' dad passed away this week. It was a massive heart attack and was completely unexpected. Kris is an only child and his dad wasn't married, so it was a lot to deal with everything. The hardest thing is that he won't be there for the wedding. Kris and his dad weren't the closest and the wedding was something that had really brought them together. During the visitation yesterday we had so many people that Kris didn't know who came up and knew all about our wedding from his dad talking about it all the time. Over the next couple of months we have to think of some way to remember his dad at the wedding.

Wow - I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My DF's father passed away this year as well. He had cancer and lost his battle in April. It was so hard for DF to deal with the fact that he won't be at the wedding.

To honor his memory and keep him a part of our wedding, we are having the guys (3 of 5 are DF's brothers) wear their father's favorite flower (which is what he wore on his wedding day) as a boutinere. So the boys will all be wearing stefanotis flowers with a rose. I wonder if you can do something like that.

We are also having a memory candle lit for our whole ceremony for DF's father as well as my sister and the other people that we have lost (its been way too many for us being so young).

Oh, another idea - for my sister who passed away in 2004 my girls are all wearing yellow in memory of her because her nickname was "sunshine".

Again - you and your DF are in my thoughts.
