Figment Popcorn Bucket Insanity

Just read on the Disney food blog, the buckets sold out yesterday afternoon.
They don't know when or if more will come in

I honestly think it's great they lasted that long. It absolute devalues the resellers that Disney made and sold so many. Their price has come way down.

One person posted a drawing for sale when the hoopla got started (it's obviously a very simple line drawing) and donated the proceeds to charity. Made over $10,000. Now there are others jumping on the drawing bandwagon.

They were eventually going to run out of buckets, but for now the market is still being saturated

Anyone know where the nearest Guest Experience Team stand is to the Pop Eats booth? I'm prepared to go all-out Karen on Disney first thing tomorrow morning for allowing this to happen, and I usually avoid confrontation.

Allowing what to happen? My assumption is that the booth adhered to the 2 per person limit. They can't help if people sell them after market. Not sure what complaining is going to get you.

So you are prepared to yell at an already likely very stressed out cast member who has zero to do with any decision making about having to wait for a long time for a colorful dragon shaped piece of plastic? Come on now.

I would recommend just politely expressing your frustration, bringing the CM to your side and making some jokes at the insanity of it all. Very real chance you will pick up a lightning lane or two of it if you play it right. Best of luck!

We went on Sunday afternoon after park hopping over from HS, found the end of the line 45 minutes later had my Figments and was out the door. Disney stood by their Limit of 2 per person. The only people I felt sorry for were the ones who wanted their grilled cheese sandwiches from the kiosk and had to wait the long time.

I sincerely hope you are joking. Think about the person you are about to "go all-out Karen" on. What if that were your daughter or son? It's got nothing to do with them, it's a plastic bucket... has civility gone out the window? Yelling at an entry level Cast Member for something completely beyond their control is not going to get you anywhere.

The one I saw was clearly for charity. I am thinking that the bidders just had fun with it since the money was being donated.

I'm looking right at a listing for a drawing that is not for charity and was made by the seller's 9 year old daughter. The bidding is up to $36.

Some of the drawings are for charity but most of them aren't.

I walked by on Sunday around 1pm-ish. They had lots & lots of big cartons of boxes, CMs unpacking & others selling them. The CM claimed the line was an hour, but I don't know. I think it was more like 2 from past line experiences & seeing the line not really moving. I agree it really should have been it's own area/line. I saw folks all morning walking around with 5-6-7-8 buckets, but for each person in their party the math added up. :confused3 I heard the sale prices on eBay were already dropping which I hope is true.

you're going to yell at Guest Relations for allowing them to sell out of something a lot of people wanted?

Not everyone who goes to WDW is a family. Some resellers are locals with APs who brought a few friends. They aren't wasting a day at the park, and they can probably bring 10 friends and pick up 20 buckets. It happens.

That would require a bunch of friends willing to volunteer time for you so you can make money from their time using their resources. If you have friends that great, well...well done.
